Gaming

Where are the gamers at? With a hand me down stationary bike I got last Saturday I have been playing video games on my tv only while on the bike. Although the peddling slows depending on difficulty level of the game, it isn't impossible to maintain throughout. So far I have run up the odometer 42 miles. Anyone else do this? Aside from that I watched how I meet your mother and castle last night maintaining light effort those two hours. I am wondering if it will work more in the fat burn zone than my usual high intensity 45 minute a day cardio . Only time will tell. Anyone feel free to add me. I have a lot of friends, but don't collect them to collect either. I'm just bad at deleting inactive members

I'm not a gamer but I am married to one. He has a desk/treadmill set up so he can walk on the treadmill while playing his games. It is certainly an eyesore but we keep it hidden in his office and it has become quite the conversation piece. :)
  • I do sit-ups and/or squats while waiting for my game to load. (I mostly play computer games)

Oh wow, that doesn't sound like a bad idea...only I don't know how well I could do that playing Zelda! Especially if I was playing SS on the Wii, lol!

The more intense I get in the game the slow I find I peddle.

I use a stationary bike while playing as well, but I don't like the issue of slowing as I play, so I've mostly switched to TV shows as I bike. It just makes the time fly and I'm not staring at the clock wondering why time is going so slow. ;) I've found just standing as I play usually l makes me pace a bit, which is better than just sitting there.

I used to dance around while people argued over loot distribution.

Thank god I don't raid anymore haha.

I play a lot of casual time management games. There are two on my computer that involve managing a gym; whenever I'm wanting to game instead of do my workout, I tell myself I can play a couple of levels of "Fitness Frenzy" and then I have to go. It's weird, but it motivates me!

I'm going to buy GTA 5 and use my recumbent bike while I play. It should make it more challenging anyway.
