Attorney. Commercial litigation. It's sometimes a bummer...but I console myself with piles of cash.

Exactly. I've seriously considered getting a second mortgage worth of debt (or would it be 3rd, since I already have a real mortgage too??) just so I could actually get paid for the work I do.....

I never thought I'd say it, but I envy attorney's. I went into medicine because I'm a "lover not a fighter"....and I've been doing nothing but fighting ever since....and NOT getting paid for it.
Oh, but you can totally be an attorney and not get paid piles of cash for it too! Just ask any prosecuting attorney. But at least you get to put bad guys in jail. And I mean actual bad guys, that didn't learn in kindergarten that it's not ok to hit. Not just some dumb schlub who likes to spark up a j. I give zero sheetz about that!

Only if I can do it while wearing a banana hammock.
  • I have just left my sedentary office based plant science job of the last 5 years for self employment- now running a garden design business. Not making much money yet, but loving not being stuck at a desk all day. Smoko now is me taking my cup of coffee for a walk to the beach and back. I am hoping that the stress of running a small business will be offset by the physical and mental benefits of being more active and creative :)

Retired horse breeder, stable owner, stallion manager. A whole different level of stress and excitement with a large dash of overwork combined with no pay, sick days or vacation! I loved it, sick fool that I am. I still have a stallion and a rather large herd of horses, but no clients or boarders anymore, save for one that has been with me for 20 years.

  • I have a marketing consulting company. We build mobile apps for businesses and help them generate more income.

I have another company and we invest in real estate and buy judgements and liens.

In between doing that I manage my husband's office.

I also am a writer -- not published yet though. I am working on editing my current manuscript before I send it out to agents.
