All cells in the human body get their energy from glucose... that includes cancerous ones.

Anything saying that sugar makes cancer grow is really taking things out of context.

Perhaps (and in conjunction with radiation, etc.) but, unfortunately, this often leads people to conclude that carbs/sugars cause cancer; a very big leap.

That's just how it is on the font cover of the book! Maybe I should have put it in quotes or said BIG FAT LIES .... Have you read it?
But that doesn't make sense. Grammatically I mean.

I say we're all better off sticking to food that is as close to its original form as possible. However, I don't believe the government has anything to do with the fact that I'm tempted to scarf down an entire bag of fudgeos. That's my choice. No gun held to my head.

As a cancer survivor I find it hard to believe that the Dr. would prescribe me Ensure drinks if this was the case. I had tongue cancer and I had issues eating period. There drinks have 22-23 grams of sugar per 8 oz and I was told to drink at least 8 a day. Mt. dew has 31 grams per 8 oz. My nutritionist was very adamant about me drinking 10-12.

I have. I was in a consulting group for the cochlear implant, they had a bunch of us "possible" candidates in the room to discuss our expected outcomes, realistic expectations and the like.

One of the candidates was a man who was a self admitted terminal (cancer) patient. He already had one cochlear implant, (at a medicare cost of 30,000) he wanted to be shot to the head of the list because he was given another 3 months to live and it bothered him to lay in his bed all day with his only good ear turned towards the TV.

While many people grumbled about his need for a second cochlear implant when he was terminal and they were all struggling to get their first cochlear implant at all, i secretly had issues with our need to judge. I mean it can't be comfortable laying in bed all day watching a TV (the only enjoyment you have) and not being able to hear it.

Then he said and I remember this clearly. "Will having two implants interfere with the microwave radio waves? Will he pick up extraneous signals we KNOW are out there in the universe? Would wearing tin foil prevent him from hearing these extra radio waves because he didn't want to be unconsciously inundated with alien hive thought"

you could SEE the doctors at the panel table all slowly mentally move him down the candidate list.
