I am 5'2 (maybe 5'3 if I stretch!). I have been maintaining 130 for about a year now, I got down as low as 128 and typically I see around 132 lately. I am marathon training so weight loss is not a goal at the moment.

I can't go down past 125. I have too much muscle mass. Everyone says I look like I weight a lot less so I gave up on the scale getting too low awhile back. I look sickly when I get too thin (my face locks caved in and my curves are gone). I wear a size 2 or 4 depending on brand. So ladies, set a goal but small increments to try that out for a bit, don't go all crazy at once!!!!!

    Oh, I am 34, mom of 2.

Whoo Hoo!! Finally broke the 140 mark. 139.0 this AM. We start a Fit for Fall challenge at work today so it is time to start adding excercise to my life. I need upper body strength mostly. Any tips to help me get my arms, shoulders and neck in shape. I ride a motorcycle and moving the beast around when I am in slow manuvers or parking it is my biggest challenge.... Thanks!

5'2 124lbs. Started MFP Janruary 2012 at 130 and wasn't happy with my body when I dropped down to 110 in 6-8 mths. Slowly put weight back on in Janruary of this year and sit at 124lb. The split photo, on left is June 2012 of 112 lbs at 17% BF, 124lbs on the right at 14.5%. Profile pic is still 124lbs. ;)

Can't get photos to show that aren't huge so pics on profile.

    5'2.5"

    Age: 49
    SW: 201
    CW: 143
    GW: 141 (Healthy BMI)

    Dr. wants me at 138ish.

I'm REALLY struggling to lose these last few lbs. However, I'm in the best shape I've ever been. I run, walk, or ride my bicycle at least 4 days a week. I've gone from wearing very tight 16's and XL to size 4's and loose mediums.

I pretty much eat (and drink) whatever I want as long as it fits the calories.

Since I posted this I have lost 4 more lbs! I'm now at 139 and have reset my goal weight to 135. I am happy with the size I am at now, but still have a little fat to lose!

I'm not sure how to add a picture to my response. I'm 5'1 and a half, i was 110 pre preganncy, gained 40, and now 9 month post partum, I'm at 122. Hope to get down to 105 again sometime.
  • What was the plan you and your doc made? I'm struggling doing this on my own. I'm 157 and 5'3 and my goal at this point is to be at 130 by spring 2014. Not a hard goal I think, but I would like input on how others manage to lose the weight.
    Thanks.

Any other 5'2 ladies out there on maintainance ? Interested to know what your maintainance calories are like and what kind of exercise routine you do
I see some 5'2 ladies saying they can't eat above 1400 calories or they gain , I couldn't live on that a day I'd crack up

I am 5'1" and maintaining at between 1300 and 1700 (lift heavy and circuit training & some HIIT). I just averaged out my TDEE over the past 32 days, and it puts me at 1590. FYI, I am 100 lbs. I suspect that I am probably not eating enough for more strength gains, so I may be upping my calories/revisiting my macros.

  • Hi
I can put my stats on here later (I'm at work at the moment and would have to convert from metric)
I think I'm around 5,2- definitely a shorty! And it's definitely harder when you're small and portion sizes are aimed at people of average height.
I'd love some friends on here of a similar height, so feel free to add me :)
I'm 25, and have around 10-20 pounds to lose. 8 kgs, anyway.
  • I just got back on this site after many months. I started at 220, and have been hovering at 180 for a year. I need to break through this plateau.

GW ??? was 160 lbs but I think I can do better. I have had severe weight issues since I was 12,am now 45.Thats a loooooong time to be so heavy, but i am fighting my way to healthy. I am also diabetic and have had to cut my insulin use in half ( and on a different type). I also had to change my blood pressure meds and colesterol meds too. Diet and exercise are changing my life.

    GW - 135

Originally, I wanted to have GW at 120-125, but right now I decided that I want to see how I will look at 135 - maybe that would be enought, since I dont want to by super skinny - def want to keep some curves :)

The lowest I have ever been was 169 and I was a size 10 with DD boobs haha. I feel like that was a great place for me. I'm sure it would be awesome to be in a single digit size but I think maybe thats just too much. Or maybe I'll change my tune once I get there.
  • Hey girls!

I am also 5'2... 118 currently (I'm sorta struggling ... I've been eating too many sweets at work to get any more weight off). I don't really have a "GOAL" weight....

I just want to look good and feel good.
I'm staring to like the way I look again, and I fit into most of my old clothes.

I started at 151..... the largest I had ever been..... I was in denial, until I saw a picture of myself wearing what I thought were my most flattering jeans (Eeeeekkkkk). Something had to change!!!

Everyone on here is SO inspiring!! I love seeing pictures. If you want to check out my pictures just click on my profile!

I'm just under 5'3" and my highest weight was 165 lbs and now I'm about 125 lbs (fluctuate by a couple of pounds). My arms and legs are pretty toned but most of my fat hangs in the belly. Some people think I'm too thin but I still have some chub, but I feel a lot better than I did 40 pounds ago :-)
  • I am 5'2- 5'3". My highest weight was around 130 I think? ( I vaguely remember) My current weight is around 119 where my normal weight used to be around 105. My current goal is set at 107.

I'm 5'2 and 195lbs. My starting weight a couple of years ago was I think 224, I got down to 181 and then gained back about 20lbs due to injuries and stress, which I am thankfully back on top of losing again! My goal is around 135 and I may reevaluate up or down at that time. About 6yrs ago I got down to 150lbs and at that weight I was a sz 7/8 and pretty healthy; at the time I felt like I could stand to lose another 5-10lbs. In my teens and early 20's I was extremely thin and I don't think I was very healthy (wasn't trying to be thin, just was). In my teens my weight ranged from about 107-117 and I looked emaciated (there is a pic of me on my 19th birthday taken from behind and I was wearing a top with a really low cut back-my back looks like stegasaurus from my spine sticking out :S). Even at 125lbs you could see pretty much every bone so I feel like that was just too light for me. I am pretty active and always have been, for me the eating is the most important thing-I have to try hard to eat breakfast every day, eat enough protein, and eat regularly.
