    You are far better off eating the whole fruit or vegetables than blending it into a smoothie. When you do, you breakdown the food and your stomach doesn't have to do so much work or burn as many calories to process it. It's very easy to drink too many calories in a smoothie, but hard if you eat the whole food.

    No problem as long as you are aware of your intake and needs. I love smoothies, and I love whole fruits and veggies. A smoothie isn't really any different than eating marinara sauce. Just part of a recipe.

    My go to breakfast smoothie is mixed frozen berries, cranberry juice (100%), plain non-fat yogurt, protein power, a little oat bran, coconut water and a packet of lemon-lime EmergenC. No idea how many calories it is, but it fills my 32 oz aluminum bottle.

    I have the cheap magic bullet and it works great. I love to mix and drink in the same cup.
