The ten commandments of Calorie Counting...

First and foremost, this is my own personal opinion, as someone recovering from an ED this has helped me a great deal, I hope it helps others as well...
1) Thou shalt not allow food to govern thine life.
2) Thou shalt not be overly excessive about calorie counting, (refusing to eat dinner at family members houses due to calories ect...)
3) Thou shalt fuel your body properly (proper amount of calories, macros...)
4) Thou shalt educate yourself on nutrition.
5) Thou shalt take free days (Mental health helper numero uno, at least for moi)
6) Thou shalt have variety!
7) Thou shalt fear no macro! (carbs, fats ect...)
8) Thou shalt not cut your calories too low!
9) Thou shalt make responsible food choices! (ice cream, pudding, pizza are all acceptable on the vegetable list, at least in my book...)
10) THOU SHALT NOT LET FOOD AND THE FEAR OF FOOD GOVERN YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!! ***(this was important so it was listed twice...)
And remember, if you ever go over one day you won't gain weight from it, (well water weight, sodium retention ect... You can't lose weight in a day, and it is very unlikely (glycogen storage ect...) that you'll gain it in a day!
Now go, and be golden!

"7) Thou shalt fear no macro! (carbs, fats ect...)"
If I hear this ONE MORE TIME. "Wow that looks fattening!"
It's only fattening if you eat more of it than you can burn!!!0 -

Sorry have to disagree with this.
Icecream isn't a vegetable.
Its dairy. ( unless its rasberry ripple, in which case carry on.)0 -
Strawberry cheesecake? Ehuhuhuhuh?!0

I think the very act of creating the "commandments" already violates #1 and #10.0

Everytime I hear "fattening" I can't help but think of the low fat craze that I'm so glad I'm over. I wish it would just die. I know that's not what fattening means necessarily, but it's usually a fried food folks say it about. I can't help my association. Just wish low fat and manufactured fats would just die. I don't want low fat butter. I want butter.0 -
I love you. Especially for the gif.0
