  • I want to see how long I can take this post.... Therefore who would you prefer to date: A nerd or geek or dork?

Once you go geek, you never go back...

    I like the graph...

I prefer the term "nerd" .... a geek is a circus performer who bites the heads off of chickens ... I can honestly say that I've never done that ...

But but I have never seen a geek bite off a chicken head! Where do I go to see one. :noway:

    Traveling circus??? That's my guess.

Once you become a geek you never go back or once you marry a geek you never go back? Does this rule apply to nerds as well?

Oh random note. If you ever have a staring contest with a Starbucks barrista let me know. :P

    And then you have dorks...

    whale penises?

And why combine them just use them when said trait can be applied with gain.

So let's just combine the two: NEEKS or GERDS?

Can't be gerds because that's gastroesophageal reflux disease syndrome. :glasses:

    really? I didn't know that.
  • Nerds do your math homework.

    Geeks play video games.

Nerds don't get invited to parties.

Geeks get invited but choose video games and Mtn. Dew instead

    This guy has it.

I'm a Star Wars lover and Aliens. I love all music but tend to gravitate to classic rock.

Thanks to the internet and comic book and superhero blockbusters, nerd acceptance is at an all time high. It's much easier to classify yourself as a nerd now and not be shunned. Oddly enough, it's actually become quite trendy. I don't necessarily think this is a bad thing, but something that I find irritating is the fashionable nerd. Fashionable nerd is an oxymoron.

Geeks are the hipsters of the uncool. You can work at an Apple store and be sort of funky and still be a geek. As a nerd, your only funk is your smell. I am a lifelong nerd. There is no glory to be had in nerd.

Geek : Tech-savvy, smart....not overly buff, but sexy
    Nerd: Smart. Noodly. Not sexy.
  • I identify with both nerd and geek, and all my friends are the same. I feel like the two are basically interchangeable.

Exactly. Nerds can never be cool or hip.
