Is it true just 1200 cal in diet looses just 2lbs a week?

    I've just seen that you are a guy. You should NOT go under 1800 cals a day!

    You need to go into the machinery and fill in your current weight, height, age and gender. Then it will ask you how much weight you want to lose. Tell it 2lb if you must - and then it will give you a daily calorie limit for you to stick under.

    You are not a girl! you must not eat 1200cals a day. We are much smaller. We have thinner bones, less muscle. men cannot get away with eating as little as a woman - but the upside is, you'll lose weight far faster than us.

    good luck my dear. And there are heaps of guys on here who do really well on their daily calorie limits. Get lots of people to frend you and then look at their diaries. You will be fine.

    all depends.
    I do ~1680 a day (under that by a little frequently) and I have lost an average of just under 4 pounds a week for the 16 weeks I have been on MFP.

    so it depends on your exercise regimen, your current weight, average activity level, and even metabolism.
