Paleo and digestion

So, I recently started paleo as my doctor told me to try out some new ways of eating for my IBS.
Today is day 4 and I'm having a bit of trouble with my food digesting, AKA IBS-C for the past 2.5 days.
I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue within the first week or so and does it go away?

Overall I feel a ton better, my sinus infection is gone, I sleep much better and I've noticed a slight change in inches already.
(not that I was doing this primarily for weight loss)

Any suggestions?

You're fiber intake is very low. Most likely the culprit.

Also, any changes in "inches" is more than likely due to you reducing carbohydrate intake and thus less water/glycogen storage rather than fat loss.

Just throwing this out there-have you been tested for allergies? I have a relative who struggled with 'IBS' for years (diagnosed by her dr). After a recommendation from a co-worker she went to an allergist and found out she was allergic to dairy, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, and a few other things. She's cut them out of her diet and her symptoms are totally gone now. My daughter has also been diagnosed with having IBS (by a GI specialist)-we've cut the dairy out of her diet and her symptoms (mostly cramping after eating), are totally gone now as well.
  • I have thought about going to an allergist, just don't have the time or money for more testing right now.
I figured I would try a form of paleo and work my way from there.
