I like math. Another 4 miles for me puts me at 17 total which is 17% of goal. With only 12.9% of the month gone that puts me 30% ahead of schedule and in with the 25.6% who are on track, but more importantly it puts me into the FESTIVE LIME :drinker: GREEN!

Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to save my ticker and had to create a new one.

Sorry for not reporting sooner, for some reason my internet was acting extremely slow, and I couldn't get the page to completely load. Fortunately it is fixed now.

So far this month I have 17.14 miles.

Hi! I'm new here, and a little late... can you add me for 200 miles? I try to walk at least 3 a day and then between retail work, and biking I'm sure I'll hit more... So far in October I have walked 18.8 and biked 26. I hope that's how this works.

    Fun doing speed intervals tonight

@LEANZ - LOL! I have a love/hate relationship with speed intervals. They hurt so good. It's a good thing they work to make a person stronger & faster or else I'd outright outlaw them!

@MHHENDERSON & @GIRLROSE - Please include a current monthly total in your posts each time too. With 160 people to keep updated (as of today) it helps us update the sheet much quicker if we don't have to do the math for everyone and can see your total at a glance. THANKS! :flowerforyou:

@SUFFERLANDRIAN - How do I do all that stuff? It's maaaaa-jick. But thanks!

@BRITFOUT & AJANDERSON84 - Never too late! :) Got you added and welcome!

@JTH11706 - *buzzing noise.....head explodes BOOM* You crack me up. I like that. :drinker:

@ANIMEFAN914 - No worries!!! Glad to hear from you! I knew you'd show up eventually. :)

Love all the activity so far!! You're looking good!!

I’m having a similar problem figuring measuring distance on my elliptical. My guess is as follows:

The diameter of the wheel (inside the cover) is 15.625 inches. Basic mathematics tells us to multiply by pi π 3.14 so (3.14 x 15.625) = 49.6 (rounded) inches or 4.13 ft. (divided by 12 in.) feet for circumference to reach revolution per foot. It takes one full revolution to register as one on the machine. Each circular revolution of one foot counts as one on the machine except counting the other foot traveled would equal twice that much for 4.13 x 2 = 8.26 ft.

    Example: 1000 revolutions should yield (4.13 x 2) = 8.26 x 1,000) 8,260 feet divided by the feet in a mile (5,280) = 1.56 miles.

Backward finding for a mile would be 5,280 / 8.26 = 639.2 revolutions per mile

Someone please check this and see if I have misjudged something.

Dude, how can you live with the imperial system :grumble: :grumble:
Anyway, I agree with your math. The circumference of a wheel with 15.625 inch diameter (C=πD) is 49.06 inches. To cross-check I searched the web for bike wheel sizes and circumferences and I found out that a 15.75 inch wheel (including the tire) is considered to have a circumf of 41.55 inches. Don't know why, but this is the figure Garmin suggests and I stick with it.
