Has anyone else felt sick after eating unhealthy foods?

So I've been pretty consistent with eating clean and healthy foods for a number of weeks now, I do allow myself "unhealthy" foods once a week or every two weeks. I find that I feel pretty sick after eating highly processed or sugary foods. Has anyone else found this after long stretches of eating primarily healthy foods?

We've been eating almost 100% clean here too for about the last two months. I've not deviated, but I know that hubby has tried to eat a few "normal" things every once in a blue moon while at work and seriously regretted it afterwards....he said it was like instant nausea and heartburn. He's started turning down food offers just because he doesn't want to feel like crap afterwards. Now we are too afraid to even attempt to eat out.......instead we spend the money that we would have spent at the restaurant to buy fancy ingredients and make our own fancy meals and desserts...and eat them "al dente" on the patio. I don't think I could bring myself to eat something not "clean" now....simply for fear of the physical consequences.0

Oh, definitely. My body no longer agrees with anything fried or greasy. I can't even finish whatever food i'd eat that was bad for me. I get..poop issues and just feel disgusting afterwards.0

I have had this happen to me because my body wasn't used to it anymore. I have also discovered that certain foods taste better "in memory" than they do in real life. So not worth the waste of calories.0

Yep. I had to eat pizza yesterday (free food at work, I was hungry, forgot to bring something healthier) and now today I am definitely not handling it...0

Yup - every time I go astray I get a bad stomach ache... That being said, I did find few restaurants which make food that really agrees with me - so I do go out about once a week and have a nice (calorie heavy) dinner, because I enjoy the experience0

Yes! I eat pretty much what I want, but if I eat too much sugar I feel icky as heck. I make sue I eat a sugar treat now and again if it's within my calories, but I no longer eat a bunch.0 -

It's a common reaction to eating a type of food you've not had in a long time. Has nothing to do with being 'healthy' or not.0

Oh yeah. Feel like I swallowed a brick. This does work well though. I try what I get a get a craving for, then later remember why I don't eat it anymore. Had a cheese burger about 6 weeks ago. Still remember that enough not to have tried another one.
I ate 1/4 of it, and about 5 shoestring fries. Finished the scraped patty for the proteins0 -

Yes, but I felt that way before I gave them up that's why I gave them up. Feel great now. More energy, skin is better, sleeping better, heartburn is 100% better, stomach doesn't bloat and so on......0

Only if I eat too much of the overly fatty/sugary/whatever foods, then I feel completely gross and like I swallowed a brick of lard0

If I eat fried,greasy or heavy foods now I feel so sick and have a bad stomach for 1-2 days afterwards. Same with chocolate and sweets now. I think its because I hardly even eat it and when I do its way too much salt/sugar/fat for me at one time0

Anything excessively sweet, especially if I eat too much. Doesn't stop me from eating it, though I try to limit how much I eat it. Surprisingly not so much fried foods, though I did pass on the french fries and fried crab sticks today at lunch because they just made me feel gross just thinking of eating them.0

I'm far from a 'clean' eater, but I have noticed that with some things I just don't enjoy them as much as I used to. For instance, a few weeks ago I had potato crisps for the first time in ages. Just didn't taste nice.
As for feeling sick...a lot of fast food tends to do that to me now. The worst culprit seems to be anything from McDonald's that has red meat. Which is rather odd, because I eat a fair bit of beef and lamb in my day-to-day life. At first I wrote it off as a one-time thing with a dodgy patty, but no...apparently my body doesn't want me to enjoy a double cheeseburger and would rather throw a hissy fit instead. Sigh.
Oh, and fries. Fries frequently cause nasty bloating and leave me with an uncomfortable greasy feeling. Although I'm not sure if that's a new thing or just something I haven't paid attention to until now. They're one of those things you just eat because they're there and not because you actually like them all that much. That's the case with me, anyway.0 -
Yes.
My body responds to certain foods very differently now than it used to. Deep-fat fried stuff or very oily foods like a bad take-away now make me throw up. Bread makes me feel really uncomfortable and bloated if it's more than a couple of slices of toast. Too much pasta now gives me stomach cramps.0 -

Oh yeah, I think it is pretty common to see this after eating well. My hubby even pointed out that we probably both felt sick all the time when we ate processed foods but now we are more aware of it.0

I can handle eating pizza but anything super greasy and fried I get bloated and feel sick for hours. Then I have diarrhea. So I no longer eat fast food lol. Sugary things are okay as long as I only have a tiny bit...I'm not a sweets person anyways. I still really enjoy extra hot Cheetos though0
