Exercise and calories

I have recently started on Myfitnesspal and seem to think that the calorie burning levels for set periods of exercise seem rather generous compared to the heart rate monitor I wear. Do any others have a view?

MFP overestimates the calories burned. I typically cutdown the MFP number by half (since I don't own a HRM)-- it maybe overcautious but it works for me.0

I usually deduct 100-200 calories from the amount MFP gives me0 -
I've just done 40 minutes of easy cycling on a stationary bike and my heart monitor watch tells me I have burnt off 250 calories. This site reckons 370. Perhaps they take into account the fact that you will continue to burn calories because your metabolism is raised. But I think it is best to underestimate and if they are right you will lose more weight!!0
