I would say that sensual engages many senses, whereas sexy engages basically one (at least in regards to the effect women have on men -- or at least on me...)

Sensual seems to imply a degree of class that sexy may or may not on its own.

    Probably doesn't help, but that's my 2¢

I think you said it all with this post! I agree with your 2¢ and up it 2¢ more!

A sensual woman I would want sweaty passionate sex with.

A sexy woman I would want to pound like a Mallard Duck.

    *bows*

    Well, hey there..

Well if that's you in the profile pic, you're good.

This is a difficult question. Both are visual, and both are created by the individual in how he/she makes them self appear. As and example, take a look at Glutesthatsalute's profile picture. That is sensuous, the expression that the eyes and mouth give her face. A sensuous look creates a desire to be passionate to make love to the whole person, engaging the person's mind, heart, and soul through out the process. You want the experience to last, and last, not only for yourself but for your partner as well. Now look at N2couture's profile picture. That is sexy. A sexy look creates a desire to have hot, lustful sex. Immediate gratification is pretty much the goal. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Wham, Bam, Thank you Mame! Was it good for you too? No? Awwww, too bad.... maybe next time.

Both have their place, and both can be awesome experiences. There are times when I find my wife to be very sexy. Remember when Mrs. Doubtfire said her husband's idea of foreplay was "Brace yourself Effie!" That happens! But when my wife is sensuously appealing to me, I tend to take a lot of time with her, building slowly, over the course of the entire evening.

The two are similar, but contrasting.

    Sensual - Think erotica
    Sexy - Think porn

I agree with that definition. Sexy is nice, but sensual is at a whole other level. It is more than what you can see. It evokes and is evoked by feelings and desires, tastes, sounds, smells, caresses. Like it suggests sensual involves your senses.
