Need help- binge eating leads to binge exercising

:explode:

Need advice - tired/weak

I eat about 600 calories and exercise 1 1/2 daily for about 3 or 4 days. Then, I go crazy a binge eat for a day sometimes 2 days. Then, after binge days I exercise 3 hours.

Help! What can I do to stay on track? I tell myself to stay daily on 1,000 calories daily but afraid.

Any advice? Scared to gain more weight. However this is not a good weightloss plan. Need to lose 20 & luv exercise.

This is not healthy, at all. On only 600 calories, how do you even have enough energy to exercise for 90 minutes -- it boggles the mind.

    But I digress.

My advice would be to ditch the calorie counting and instead eat sensible meals & snacks. Portion control is key, IMO -- use measuring cups if you have to.

As far as exercise goes: I generally get in about an hour a day (sometimes more) everyday (except for Friday -- I take a break). A an hour to an hour-and-a-half a day is generally enough for most people. Three hours is overkill.

Stop doing HCG, eat enough food to keep your body healthy and alive, stop bingeing..... You really don't understand how eating so little is making you sick?

It sounds like you have a very unhealthy relationship with food right now (if this has been going on for a while). That is far too little food to eat, and you are binging because you are hungry and you ARE NOT EATING ENOUGH FOOD. The exercising afterwards is a sign of guilt, and can be considered a form of bulimia. (I forget the exact name, but instead of puking up the food, people do crazy amounts of exercise to try to compensate.)

Just eat at a moderate deficit (and yes, quit the HCG diet as it is not healthy and illegal), and do a normal amount of exercise. You don't have to work out 1.5 hours a day if you don't want to. If you do, eat enough food to fuel that exercise.

I think you should seek out a professional. You obviously have a very unhealthy relationship with food and you obviously don't understand how any of this works...otherwise you would not be afraid of a mere 1000 calories which is still not enough food...1200 is pretty much minimum for a SEDENTARY individual. There are exceptions obviously, but for the most part those exceptions fall under the care of a health care professional as well.

The average woman maintains on roughly 1800 - 2000 calories without much exercise...active women tend to maintain around 2300 - 2400 calories or so. Obviously everyone is a little different, but not that different...

First, stop doing all of this.

Slowly increase your cals 1500 per day. See where that puts you after a month.

Seems like a troll, but I'll bite.

You "binge" for one or two days, and then you exercise for a whole 3 hours? That certainly wouldn't make up for it.

Oh, and anyone doing something even remotely like this should seek professional help, and not ask internet strangers for advice, just in case there are any legitimate lurkers out there.

It's not about what you eat, it's about how much. Start there.

I completely know where you're coming from. I used to eat 600 calories a day, but net probably 3-400 after exercising. I did lose weight but I gained it all back after binging for 2 weeks straight. I realized I needed to change. I KNOW that it's scary eating more calories, especially if you're seeing results with such a low calorie intake (like 600 cals). However, I feel better now than I ever have before.

I started out increasing my calories from 600 to 1200 because I heard that is the lowest that I should go. Some days I struggled to eat 1200 but it did help me with binges because I realized that I could eat a muffin from Dunkin Donuts and not completely ruin my day. However, I wasn't seeing any results while eating 1200 calories and working out. Recently, I increased my calories to 1550 and have been following TurboFire workout program. I've been doing it for about 2.5 weeks and have lost atleast 5 pounds and feel amazing! I was so scared to increase my calories at first but I can honestly say that:
    1. Exercising is easier when I have more fuel
    2. I have not had ANY binges since starting (I used to binge every 3-4 days)
    3. I can see & feel results
    4. I feel happy

Goodluck! If you have any questions or want more support, please reach out to me :)
