I just went and got my bi weekly weigh in and I put on a kilo even thru I ate my calorie range so upset...I have been trying so hard to lose weight and this is just a depressing blow to the stomach.

Aw, don't be upset. There are ups and downs all of the time and this will pass. Check you out having lost 12 kg. You are doing great!!!!0

Yes chin up and keep going..your body's probably in shock,stress can make you gain a little too ..be strong don't give in !0

oh hun, it could be any number of things! You might have eaten more sodium than usual, you might be at a certain time in your monthly cycle, you might be retaining water for some other reason.
My advice, keep going - keep drinking water, working out, buy a food scale if you haven't already got one - but just keep going
The scale sucks so start taking other measurements too0 -
Happened to me for two weeks, then I lost 3 kilos in one week. Just be patient and be good to yourself (and make sure you're measuring correctly).0

Don't let it get you down. Some weeks are up, some down, some stay the same. In the end though, you're in a better place now than you were in the beginning. Keep going, you can do it!0

I like to think that my body has a co-dependency relationship with fat. When I lose weight, I occasionally go through phases where the fat comes back, and I imagine that it's like an annoying ex-lover who doesn't understand that my body doesn't want to put up with its s*** anymore. But every now and again, my body goes, "Oh, okay, maybe one more try... no, f*** it" and then like four pounds come off at once.
So maybe your body is doing the same thing.0 -

... and now I'm trying to think of how to rewrite the song "I Will Survive" from the point of view of a dieter. I am too weird for words at times...

It toook all the will I had not to eat it all
I had to learn Domino's understands if I don't call
I may spend way too many nights just craving everything I see
I want to feed, but I'll eat only what I need

It's coz I'm strong enough to not completely clear my plate
And when I feel like giving up and thinking I just can't survive
I'll think of just how great I'll feel when I'm 175

hang in there, slow improvements over time will be there! you already made progress. don't just weigh yourself, measure. I just did and in a month I lost 8 inches overall and only 6 lbs!! I now with exercise and good nutrition we make some muscle!0

this is made of awesome, cheered me right up even though I apparently gained a pound this week (I know it's TOM, but I still feel sort of sad when it happens) :-)0 -
Do you measure your food on a food scale? If not go out & buy one. It's so easy to think you're only having a tablespoon of peanut butter when you could be having two or four.0

This is why you should weigh every day instead of once every two weeks. If you weighed every day, you'd just have to wait a day to weigh again.
Now you have to be "devastated" for two weeks.0 -
It happens, after all weight loss isn't an exact science. Just keep staying under your goal and I'm sure you'll do better next time.
Also, depending on how much you've drank today, that could just be water weight.
Chin up, you've lost 12kgs so far so your doing it right. And losing weight is healthier when it's slow.
