What Do You View/Listen to on the Treadmill?

I LOVE to walk/run outside, but it can get very icy/stormy and well... like 30 below in the winter where I live. So I resort to the treadmill when I can't get outside. Just curious what kind of distraction you all use when forced to walk/run indoors? Sometime I put on a playlist and I've listened to audio books before. The whole Twilight series got me through the nastiest parts of the 2013 winter --ha, ha. And I have taped my favorites shows.... What I would really love is to have someone tape a run through all the national parks in the U.S. and/or the best trails (Garden of the Gods in Colorado, etc.). Anyone want to do that for me --ha, ha! So what do you trekkers all do??

I get on one of the treadmills that face out the window and count the number of cars that go by. I can't watch tv while running/walking on a treadmill.

I usually stream the local radio station. I also bought wireless headphones so I can watch TV if I want to (and still be able to hear it LOL).

I also have a treadmill with iFit and a LCD screen so I build run routes with Google Maps and then watch the Google street level view while I run. This is really fun - I do routes through Korea and other foreign countries. It's a cool feature.

Hmmm.... I have that too. I have not subscribed to iFit yet, but I think I may still be able to do the Google maps thing without it... I'll have to look more closely at my instruction manual. Thanks for the tip!

Usually I listen to something by Beyonce. I picture her dance routines, do them in my head, and it makes me feel like I'm a superstar lol! Also, Rick Ross - don't judge me. He says "I'm a BAWS" a million friggin times. I say it along and it convinces me to keep going. :D

This too works for me. Love Beyonce and the BAWS.

I'll have to try that too! I did try out Phedippidations (sp?) but it got a little too long and rambling for me

Guessing you liked The Twilight Zone and if you did I would suggest Star Trek TOS. I'm a pretty big SciFi geek and have been watching that for the past week or two (just for fun, not as a distraction while working out).

Addditionally, I have listened to videogame soundtracks while working out with are interesting. Many of the soundtracks (depending on the game) are upbeat/grand/heroic sounding if that makes any sense (HALO series, Metroid, Bastion, etc.)

My audio/viewing tastes are all over the board! I am just dying for Downton Abby to start back up in the U.S. I went through the season 1-3 DVDs from my library. I love to watch old Northern Exposure DVDs. I tape Extreme Weightloss and Biggest Loser and watch that sometimes. I have never watched StarTrek but I could give it a shot. Why not?! I listen to Beyonce too, Jane's Addiction, John Williams orchestra music, and even some praise stuff. Whatever gets me going and keeps me from falling asleep --ha, ha!

I listen to books on my android device with moonreader pro and SVOX text-speech (Victoria voice--she sounds lovely), I have over 2000 books to choose from. Going through them one at a time.

My treadmill looks out into the yard. I watch & count birds and squirrels, watch the storm bluster and, on nicer evenings, watch the mountains disappear in the dark. I listen to audio books most of the time.
I am looking to see if we can rig up a tv somehow. I think I do better when I can watch something happen.

I set my IPad on the treadmill and play poker to make the time go by. Music is either rock, pop, or dance.
