Reducing chest size?

I'm around a size 6-8, and have a fairly average body tone overall. But I feel like my breasts are larger than what they should be for someone my size (36DD). This has especially started bothering me recently since I feel like they're starting to sag. I know there's no targeted weight loss program that works but are there any exercises that I can focus on to firm/tone them as I go through my regular weight loss routine?

    I hate to tell you.... not really.

    I wear the largest bra they carry in stores at Victoria Secret.

    I wear a size 4-6 jeans.

    So many people tell me how lucky I am....but since mine are all natural, they are just not perky at this size. I always feel like I am out of proportion.

    And I lift weights, and so far.... all the chest presses in the world won't lift these suckers.

    I has big boobies, too !! I'm a size 4/6 depending and a 36DDD.

    Aside from that, no, you can't choose where your fat loss comes from, no targeting, no nothing. Chest presses won't make them smaller... perkier? Maybe, but not smaller... I assume since you WANT it to come off your boobs, your *kitten* will probably shrink instead :wink:

    The more you lower your overall body fat, the smaller they'll probably get. But since you're already not a large person they probably won't get that much smaller.

    Same problem here. I wear a size M/L in shirts just for the ladies. They have gone down a little big, but not much. I was never 'flat' but the ladies have grown as I've gained weight. Now they're holding on. You also have to consider the density of your ladies. If they're more fat you have a better chance at losing them than if they're dense tissue.

    Breast feeding reduced my wife's breast size. To be clear - she was feeding the kids as babies, not any other weird thoughts that may come up in peoples heads!

    I am going to tell you, you never know where you will end up size wise. Sometimes a size sounds HUGE, but that is just because most people arent educated on how bras work. I wear a 32DDD, which sounds huge, but in reality? Not really, it means I have a 31 inch band measurement and a 38 inch across my chest. In perspective, I wear a 2.4.6 (depending on the brand, you know how THAT goes!)Also, I can wear a 34DD if my size isnt available- just as you could wear a 38D should you chose- add an inch to the band=take a cup size away... Take away an inch in the badn=add a cup size. Most people dont know this I guess, and that is why certain sizes sound huge, but arent really all that big.

    My sister wears a 38DD and wears a size 6. Everybody is built differently. So just wear the size that fits you, and if your chest gets smaller (and thats what you want) than good, if not it doesnt matter-- You arent walking around with a sign that says "I wear a 36DD and a size 6 pants!!"

    ETA: Also, I started at a 40DDD, and as I have lost I pretty much always stayed between a DD and a DDD, just my band size changed as I lost the weight. Good luck!:flowerforyou:

    Nope. I've lost 35 lbs since 2010 and I have not lost ONE OUNCE of these DD's!!

    I guess you could always hope though.

    I just think women get very caught up in size, so I try to joke about it, I had to have this talk with my neice the other day. She is so embarassed that she is the only one of her friends that isnt wearing a size zero... SIGH... I myself took years to realize sizes shouldnt matter so much, actually up until recently. I still get excited to lose a size, just because that means I am on the right track. But seriously, sizes are so off these days, who cares?? And yes, even bra sizes. If you try on a bra from VS to one from somewhere else, chances are they will fit differently. I just found a brand I like and went with it. (And I cut out all the tags in my clothes, cause who cares?? If it fits, it fits!!) :flowerforyou:

    ETA: a majority in women are walking around in the WRONG bra size, anyway
  • You cannot spot reduce, simply put. All the women in my family have very large breasts and even at a very low body fat, they still have large breasts; seems to be the one area they never lose. As you go down in body fat, you may find that eventually your breasts size will decrease.
  • Thanks for the responses guys. Some of you have started getting at what I failed to convey properly in m first message, haha. The problem isn't that they are large, per se. I think the problem is that they look disproportionate and untoned. Are there exercises that I can target to at least tone them and make them look perkier?
