    If you're counting calories you're already counting macros

    Protein & carbs = 4cal/g
    Fat = 9cal/g

    Just develop a macro split appropriate to your goals and you should be good to go?

    Yes. Mainly to get enuff protein. I want to lose fat not muscle.

    Counting calories and counting macros is not the same.

    I changed my Macro's slightly because I thought their carbs were high and protein low so manually set at 45/25/30. I also track my fibre and saturated fats because I knew that my fibre intake has always been very low (goes with junk food I guess) and my general belief that fat is good, saturated fat is bad :smile:

    Seems to be working for me at the moment at just over 2 months in, do need to slow it down a bit soon though

    I count macros, but really only care about protein (my goal is set to 120g right now). Fiber isn't really a macro, but I try to get at least 25g of that as well. I track fat and carbs, but as long as I'm getting close to my protein goal I don't care if those are over or under.
