Do quotes really inspire you?

I find it really hard to be consistently motivated, especially as I prefer to workout alone so the internet is a really good way for me to stay motivated. My fitness pal really help me too :-) I started using Pinterest, and compiled a board of loads of motivational pictures and quotes, & it is just so helpful in those moments when I just lose all motivation. I know we are all different, but I am hoping that this can help at least one other person out there besides me. So this is the place to share the quotes that inspire you.

This is one quote which really inspire me whenever i read this0 -
"Losers throw in the towel. Winners use it to wipe up sweat." Quotes are great at picking you up when you just want to give up.0

Quotes can be inspiring.
Free tip- when I'm really really really lacking motivation- I watch an action movie where a fit girl kicks *kitten*, ie Alien, Underworld, Anything with Michelle Rodrigues. It makes you want to work out hard. Works every time0 -

"Dont wait until you've reached your goal to be proud of yourself,
Be proud of every step you take towards reaching that goal"
^^^my fave!0 -
About making mistakes or falling off the exercise/dieting wagon:
"Just because you miss your exit doesn't mean you stop the car and get out."0 -
Some do make me think, yes, but it very much depends upon the mood I'm in at the time, and whether anything in that quote happens to be personal to me.
I always believe that it's vital that people find their own motivation, rather than looking for something that inspired other people. In fact, I believe the difference between people who succeed and people who don't is the existence of genuine and personal motivation.0 -
Yes, particularly when you know a bit about the context of the quote or the creator of the quote.
If it is just some savant thinker then no but a person who has experienced much, say Winston Churchill, then yes.0 -
Hello from Chicago. These two quotes are currently helping me stay on track! I WANT RESULTS, so I've been ditching my excuses! Found some free online photos that I liked and typed the "mottos" on the pics.

The two I think about the most are:
"You have to start to finish"
and
"Miles to go before I sleep"0 -
One's I use with clients and any who just need to hear it:
"Procrastination is the Assassination of Motivation"
"The extra mile slopes upward to the top"
"Success, only comes before work in the dictionary"
"Perspire to inspire"
I have lots more, but those are the ones I use the most

I've watched Jimmy V's 1993 ESPY speech about 10,000 times over the past 4 months. It's kept me going. through what has easily been the most difficult 4 month stretch of my life.0
