Best diets/diet plans ,tips for losing weight

Hello,
I've been struggling with my weight for a long time (81 kg,179lbs),I do walk/jog in the evenings, but it's not often and not for long periods of time. I'm starting to go to the gym soon, as winter is coming up and it gets really cold here. Food wise,I haven't been having a lot, only 700calories worth of food.

My goal is to lose 10 kg (22lbs) in 2 months,or more.

So,main question is, are there any diet plans that I can follow that really work? And best exercises for losing weight in mainly thigh and hip area?

Thank you,I appreciate the help!

No such thing, fat goes from wherever fat goes. There are more UFOs then viable methods to lose fat from a specific area.

If you're only eating 700 calories a day it will take a long time for you to lose that weight. By limiting your intake that much your metabolism is slowing, and your body actually starts stocking up on energy (fat) because you are feeding it too little.

Try to start with the diet - at least 1,200 calories a day, lots of protein, not too much sugar. You should see that start to work within the first week. Then for the exercise, I draw myself a monthly chart that I tick off. I plan for 3-4 days exercising a week, mixing up cardio and strength. I find it helps me to have my monthly goals drawn up - its a visual thing, something different may work for you.

10kg in 2 months is a lot. I have been conscientiously losing weight for 4 months now and I have lost around 5. Set a monthly goal maybe, for 3 or 4 and see where you are in 30 days time... Hope this helped. Good luck!

Find out how many calories you should eat to lose atleast 2lbs per week, MFP should give you a figure when you put your stats in.

Eat whatever you want (albeit in moderation) until you can hit your calories per day.

Stick to calorie counting, eat what you want to eat if it can fit in your daily calorie limit.

These two statements are incompatible. If you were really eating 700 calories, weight would be melting off. If it isn't melting off, you're eating more than you think.

Step #1 - determine exactly and completely what you are eating. Need a baseline before figuring out what should come next.

Don't "diet". It doent work. Ta Da!
  • Need to kick up the exercise. Do cardio and strength training. Strength training really helps boost metabolism.

You need to eat way more than 700 calories per day.

Eat healthy, do a mix of cardio and weight training and drink lots of water. That is what has worked for me.
  • You're probably eating more than 700 calories a day and because you're not losing, probably more than 1200 cals even. Even if you ate at 1200 calories a day, you should be losing some, MFP is built in with a deficit and working out will only help more. Eating at 700 won't do any major damage now, but you may go into a binge and long-term your metabolism will slow down so when you try to eat more, you'll gain.
