Fruit sugars

Hi everyone, I like to start most days with fruit for breakfast (a bowl containing a variety of cut melon, grapes, blueberries etc) but at the end of the day, my sugar intake has exceeded the suggested amount. I feel as though I am doing the right thing by my body by eating the fruit however or am I kidding myself? I am relatively new to MFP and so far my weight has been dropping. Thanks for any suggestions.
