I've been working out for 6 days, 7 including the rest day. I know it says I just started yesterday but I haven't been introduced to fitnesspal since yesterday. I've been working out for an average of 1 1/2 hours up to two. I've been doing cardio and strength training. I just don't know if its to early , but my tummy just won't defloat. My chin and arms I've been noticing slightly though.
Am I doing anything wrong? Ny body is in starvation mode but not that much.
Please help? Thank you

You could be working out too much and how much are you eating? For a long time I didn't know why my body wasn't changing and then I discovered I wasn't eating near enough. Also things take time and abs are truly made in the kitchen. My stomach is my problem area as well and since starting to just lift heavy and going down to cardio one day a week I am seeing huge results. Just keep working at it0
-
What are you currently doing for core work? How often and how long are you training core?0
-
I do cardio 6 days a week which makes it hard to get in strength training. If I do cardio 3 x per week and weight lifting 3 x per week do you think I will start to see a difference?0

You aren't going to be able to spot reduce. That's just where you carry your fat. Them genetics.0

genetics suck all my fat is in my butt/thighs. But as to your question while I don't know if your doing anything wrong but awhile back I read this but have not tried it yet. I am posting the information I read.
Because of the potential for side effects and interactions with
medications, dietary supplements should be taken only under the
supervision of a knowledgeable healthcare provider.
If you take an anti-coagulant (blood-thinning) medication, check with your doctor before trying borage oil
What is CLA/GLA?
Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) to promote lean muscle while burning fat.
Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA) for its many beneficial effects in fighting
muscle inflammation and supporting the immune system. From a fat loss
perspective, GLA is vital in supporting the production of two strong fat
burning hormones...growth hormone and the bodys primary calorie burning
hormone, thyroid hormone.
GLA should be taken with food
Most effective daily dose...
CLA 3400 mg (1/2 Tbsp liquid once a day, or 5 Tonalin or Spring Valley
capsules)
GLA 500-1000 mg (2-4 Borage Oil caps a day)
How does CLA work?
A: CLA prevents fat from being deposited into the cells by speeding up the
body's fat metabolism. CLA also helps the body metabolize existing fat
deposits. This fat then returns to the blood stream where it is used as
energy by muscle cells and the liver. CLA activates genes that trigger fat
cell death, shrinks fat cells, speeds up metabolism.

CLA Boosts Endurance
How does GLA work?
A: Numerous research studies have examined the role of GLA for improving
health, specifically in the area of weight loss. GLA from borage oil
causes less body fat to accumulate. Borage oil owes its healing power to
the presence of essential fatty acids, the most important of which is GLA,
an omega-6 fatty acid. (While borage oil is often used interchangeably
with evening primrose oil, ounce for ounce, borage oil boasts more than
twice as much GLA.) Primrose has been known to give headaches also.
Guidelines for Use
Taking borage oil with food may boost GLA absorption and minimize
unpleasant side effects.
If you take an anticoagulant (blood-thinning) medication, check with your
doctor before trying borage oil. The are no other known drug or nutrient
interactions associated with borage oil.
Possible Side Effects ...
Borage oil may cause loose stools and minor stomach problems.
Other benefits of Borage Oil...
Reduce the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis
Clear up acne and rosacea
Alleviate inflammation associated with lupus
Prevent nerve damage (neuropathy) due to diabetes
Combat damage from multiple sclerosis
Ease cough and soothe throat disorders
Treat Alzheimer's-related memory deficiencies
Reduce stress and high blood pressure
Nourish nails, scalp, and hair
Counter impotence and female infertility
CLA Q&A
CLA works best when “cycled”, by using it for 3-4 weeks on and coming off for 2 weeks, before going on again
Is CLA Safe to Take With My Thyroid Medications?
There's no evidence that CLA, a food supplement, interacts with thyroid
medications, or poses any special dangers to thyroid patients. But you
should always discuss any supplements you intend to take with your own
physician or practitioner before starting.
Is CLA Only for People with Thyroid Problems?
Absolutely not. The studies have shown that it's effective in general for
reducing/converting fat. You don't have to have a thyroid problem -- you
just have to be overweight - to benefit from CLA.
How Much Should I Take?
The study found that 3.4 grams of CLA was needed in order to get the benefits. Since the various formulas contain a percentage of other oils as ingredients, it's wise to probably calculate how much each pill is delivering to make sure you're getting the full 3.4 grams a day. For example, if your capsule contains 75% CLA, and it's 1000 mg, then you're getting 750 mg of CLA, and would need 5 per day to get to the 3.4 grams level.
How Should I Take It?
The various recommendations differ here. Some recommendations suggest to take it before eating. Others suggest to take it with meals. Take it preferably with lowfat or nonfat milk for maximum protein absorption. Personally, I'm taking it right before I eat with some milk.
Does CLA Have Any Side Effects?
Some people report feeling slightly green or nauseous after taking their CLA, or isolated cases of gastrointestinal upset or loose stools. These
side effects typically are reduced when the product is taken with protein (i.e.,with milk), and usually decrease after about 2 weeks taking the
supplement.
Usually, in the first three weeks, the abdominal fat "pooch" starts shrinking. Other "fattier" areas (such as cheeks, upper arms, rear end) seemed to be slowly reducing as well. You may notice that your appetite is somewhat reduced. You may feel a bit green after taking the CLA the first couple days, but if you take it with milk, or protein it should eliminate that problem.
You may prefer to get your Borage Oil from Netrition. It has a higher GLA content, so less pills to take, and more pills per bottle than other brands. So by getting your combo from Netrition, its alot cheaper than taking all the caps from other stores.
If you're taking CLA, don't take your Omega-3s at the same time. They will compete against each other for absorption. Leave at least a 3 hour window when taking both.0 -
It's too early.0

Thank you for the support. I am kinda depriving myself at eating but since I started my appetite hasn't kicked in and I'm working out all my corie intake though.0

I am doing cardio for an hour everyday for just 6 days. And an hour of strength training. But my strength training is more focused on my torso and squats. And extra equipment I can handle at gym. I'm considering myself an apply shape. Read about it, but I have seen before and after pictures of apple shaped women which turned out great. I just don't know why love handles won't desize . I have lost wieght, yet its just the love handles0

Maybe try a protein shake after your workouts?0

Something,or a couple of things in your diet could be causing the bloat.0

It's been a week, folks.
Don't do anything drastic yet, don't spend any money, give it some time.0 -
It's not a quick fix. You need to lose some fat. Period.0

I need advice for losing weight particularly in the abdomen. Currently am on medication that causes significant weight gain and is known to slow metabolism...I'm maintaining my caloric intake with myfitness pal and rarely go over. I initially lost 7 pounds. My frustration is that now even when I do elliptical 3 times a week and stick with my calories I am just maintaining my weight of 160. Any suggestions for this plateau??0

I've read out that if you do the same routine everyday or for a long time, your body gets immuned to it and it starts to stay in your comfort zone. I try to add more resistance or whatever you call it in the elliptical machine every 1/2 mile. It gets heavier to stomp on, but the body gets more frustrated with the pressure. Also when doing strength training, when your good with a certain weight, pump up the volume. Add more reps. It's been working for me. I'm more focusing on the upper part, since it's so hard being an apple shape..0 -
Give it a month0

Stomach is one of the hardest place to loose fat. However, make sure that it's not loose skin. maybe you are loosing fat in your belly
and just cannot tell because of loose skin. Clean diet and Exercise is the best which is what you are doing already. Maybe you just need to give it some more time.0
