I'm looking for a fitness class to teach. So far all I can find is Zumba hip hop hustle and turbo kick. has anyone attended a hip hop hustle class? There are no classes in my area for me to check out. Or are there other programs that offer certification that I am unaware of? Any tips would be helpful. Thank you.

My Zumba instructor also teaches hip hop, PiYo, belly dancing and Turbo Kick.

I love her insanity / P90x version of Zumba and her Turbo Kick class is exhilarating !

I'm a certified Les Mills instructor. I teach BodyPUMP and BodyCOMBAT. You should look in to that :-) Of course you have to teach at a licensed facility or you'll get in trouble..... If you're in to the "beachbody stuff" I think they have a P90x and and Insanity certification maybe? Not totally sure about that....

    LES MILLS!

OMG I love Turbo Kick and wish the gyms near me offered it! I used to do it years ago at my old gym and just keep hoping the ones near me will start to offer it.

Check out AFAA, they have general group exercise certifications, most gyms will require you to have that as well as the specific certification if you're looking to teach a specialty class.

There's Spinning if you like indoor cycling, Les Mills is a great place to start, although you have to have a gym that is backing you to get the certification (only licensed Les Mills facilities can use their programs... they pay a fee to use the brand name) Zumba is always a popular one. You can also look into Powder Blue Productions, they have TurboKick, PiYo, and Hip Hop Hustle (Turbo is my personal favorite). AFAA has general kickboxing and other types of certifications as well if you were looking for something a little more general.

If you want to teach in a certain gym it may be beneficial to contact the group exercise director and see what sort of instructors they are currently looking for, some gyms also offer mentoring programs for new instructors which may help you. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions! I've done all sorts of different certifications!
