In 2007 I lost 50lbs to get down to 210. I put it all back on, hence the reason I joined here, and now I'm back down to 216 so only 6lb more than I was 6 years ago. However my love handles are a bit worse off than they were back then.
Is this simple because I'm 6 years older and the weight increase and subsequent loss has stretched the skin meaning lifting is now the answer to tone them again?

As a woman, I call my love handles a muffin top. I'm 46 and since my early 40s have just been saying it's my age. Not true! I have lost 20 pounds and have been doing Jillian Michaels work outs. I no longer have that muffin top! Back into a size 4 or 6!! From a 10-12.
I'm sure lifting would rid you of those love handles. You can get rid of them! Good luck!0 -
Lifting is always the answer to looking better. You're older, possibly more bodyfat % than 6 years ago so you may have to lose some more to get the look you want.
My goal was 185 lbs. as I looked great at that weight many years ago but at less than 10 pounds from that goal, I've realized that's not gonna cut it, probably need to get down to the 170's or even 160's to get where I want. I'm not stopping til I see a sixpack, don't care what the scale says.0 -
If you want to lose love handles, you have to lose more weight by eating at a deficit.b
Then to gain lean mass and boost metabolism, lift weights and eat a surplus while training.
Some successful people alternate "cutting" and "bulking" phases.0 -

I need some help. I am not an active person (well by myself anyways). What kind of exercise can I do while sitting at my computer that will help lose the belly fat and other fat that seems to love me. I would also like to know some good snacks or foods that I can eat0
