4 st down & stubborn "belly" remains

Hi,

I wasn't sure which forum this should go on as the answer to my question could be exercise, or nutrition, or something else?

Since August 2011 I've been losing weight and have successfully lost 4 st (56lbs) which has been around 3 UK dress sizes dropped. The area which seems to be stubbornly hanging around is my belly / tummy area where I have a good couple of hands full of fat.

I train 4-5 days a week at Crossfit, walk the dog most days, try to get a zumba class in a week and also do yoga & pilates on the weekend. I try to eat along paleo guidelines 80% of the time, which does help with the size of my stomach but the fat is still there!

Does anyone else have this issue after a loss? or a solution?

Ceffy

Just keep your head down and keep working. Some people just hit the genetic lottery when it comes to fat storage but for the rest of us its just the case where its the first place where fat storage goes and the last to come off. Also, you probably have made a very big dent in it but just overall storage in the stomach area is so much more so you may think its not going down but it is, just not proportionally to say your arms or legs.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel though. I thought I'd never get any belly fat off me then one day it just become more and more obvious it was coming off. Unfortunately you have to get to those lower bf% to really see it. Just keep on keeping on and you'll get it.

It's just the last place to go. I've lost 65 lbs and most of what's left is still my belly. I'm hoping another 13 lbs will get rid of most of it, but I'm not even sure (plus some of it is loose skin at this point).
