Hello All, my name is Sampson. I was originally a member a long time ago but fell off the wagon for over a year and am now trying to get back into the swing of things. I know there are a ton of websites which have information on various workout routines, however, I would like your "personal" recommendations for sites which you found informative on workout routine which can be done from home. I have a bad back and would like to start out at home and try and save the gym fees if possible.

I really like fitness blender, has a huge range of different workouts and you can search for low impact/no equipment etc.

  • Whenever you do muscle building you must pace yourself. It is no good at all to do a really heavy workout, which a lot of people do to start, then they are in pain for the next week.
When you have a back problem you definitely need to start off slow. Start with low weights to start and only advance when you find there are no after effects from the previous workouts.
But returning to this back problem you have. You first need to make sure that there is no damage which will be aggravated by exercise. This may mean getting a doctors clearance for some moderate exercise if you haven't already done so.
Once you are cleared you will find that exercise will strengthen the back muscles and you will have less pain
