Food taste

After lots of different diets my entire life I realised I need to change my perspective and attitude and most importantly my way of eating. So instead of sticking to a specific diet and a meal plan I decided to slowly cut the junk food, chocolate and sugary things off and add more healthy things to my menu.
I added more vegtables and fruits, changed white bread with wholemeal bread, drinking green tea and juices and eating oatmeals.
But to be honest it's like they don't have any taste. I am so used to strong flavours that I don't feel good eating healthy. I am satisfied that I am makign these changes because it is good for me and my body but I am definitely not satisfied with the food taste.
So my question is is this normal? Will I just get used to eating healthy and will start enjoying low fat foods?

Not sure why there is no taste. Do you add spices and herbs? I don't add salt but use garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and
chili powder when I cook. You can always add artificial sweeteners to oatmeal-I can't eat it plain or some people I know mix yogurt
with oatmeal. You have to experiment!0 -

Why would she add artificial sweeteners? That's just going to make her sick (over time). I agree with adding spices and herbs. Sea salt is ok to have in moderation as our bodies do need a certain amount of sodium.0 -
I don't personally have any issues with artificial sweeteners but some healthy/natural alternatives to sweeten/flavor up the oatmeal would be adding things like dried fruits (raisins, craisins, etc), cinnamon, nutmeg, cook with unsweetened vanilla almond milk for creamier texture and a little extra flavor.
I'm a little confused about the "no taste" thing too. Are you eating fresh fruits and veggies or canned/frozen? Are you maybe overcooking your veggies? There are a ton of different herbs and spices and healthy oils out there that would help add flavor0 -
Sorry for the confusion. I didn't mean no taste at all. I meant tasty - like something I would enjoy eating every day.
I eat fresh fruits and veggies, not canned, as well as trying to use fresh spices and herbs when possibles for the cooking.0 -
what kinds of flavours do you like? there are lots of strong flavours in "healthy" food too. I'm talking about the full range of flavours sweet, salty, sour, bitter, Umami... lots of aromas, lots of colours. is there a particular cuisine you like?0
