Aerial silks has more strength than cardio (I believe), so I think I could turn it into some combination of pullup, etc. But, I'm not sure what to do.

Does anyone know what to do or have ideas?

I'm not help with hwo to log it other than use a HRM and make the exercise yourself... But it's mostly strength so that might not work...

What I do know is that if yu're doing aerial silks... I am so goddamn jealous I can't even stand it. Such a beautiful skill that I only DREAM about being to do.

When I used to count exercise calories, I'd input it as rock climbing. I used to climb, and doing silks feels like similar muscle engagement, effort, and exertion. However, if you are hellbent on getting the calorie count accurate, this might not work for you.

Thanks! It's been really tough, but I think (and hope) that as I lose the weight I will improve... and also the reverse that it will help me lose weight.

Thanks, that helps! I don't think everything on here is exact anyway, but that'll be helpful for at least getting close! :)

How has the inputting as rock climbing been working for you? I'm in the same boat with not being sure what to input for my aerial silks class. I was thinking for putting it as gymnastics and counting both the time during the class on the silks and conditioning, since I don't want to try and nitpick when half the exercises likely aren't on here/use different names (i.e. hard to find). Also, what do you do for the stretching part of the class?
    Thanks!!

An update for anyone coming to this later wondering how to input aerial silks, here is what I am currently doing. Any input from others would also be great!

For 20 minutes of gymnastics versus rock climbing (ascending rock), there is a 147 calorie difference in what I am credited. I've been inputting the most active parts of the class as rock climbing because to me, that feels more accurate (I have no idea if it actually is).

For my hour and 15 minute class, I've been inputting 20 minutes 'Rock climbing, ascending rock' and 25 minutes 'Stretching, hatha yoga', which assumes I'm spending almost half an hour in class doing low-level stretching, resting arms, and watching the instructor/other students. I will say I keep going back and forth between the feeling I'm giving myself too much credit and not enough credit.

Also, does anyone know how exercises get added to the list? Would love to have an option for aerials :)

This chain is old, but I am using rock climbing rappelling to track silks and dancing to track lyra or trapeze, tho I really like the idea of tracking my warm up minutes as yoga. I'd love to add a custom exercise but neither of my fitness trackers have a HRM (I could get one for my Polar M400, I guess, but I use that mostly for GPS tracking of biking and open water swimming)
