Trying to get pregnant.......

Hi Everyone,

My husband and I are currently trying to get pregnant so obviously I'm not looking to lose much weight but I do want to get into better eating habits and do some exercising so I don't put on more weight than is necessary when we finally do get pregnant. Any tips or ideas on what I should do?

My Husband & I went to a much more plant-based lifestyle last November: for me it was easy, I really don't enjoy meats & eggs & am lactose intollerant so avoided dairy anyway: for Hubz, he just limited his animal protein intake - maybe once a week, the rest was a whole-foods, plant-based meal plan (fruits, veggies, starches but no soy, gluten, dairy or animal proteins as I'm allergic to gluten & he's allergic to soy). We've been together for over 11 years and haven't had any "close calls". By February this year, I was pregnant

My advise, since I know for most a whole-foods plant based lifestyle is not easy, just focus on limiting animal proteins - really weigh out portions especially of meats (stick to 3-4oz max & maybe 1-2 svg's per day) and ensure you have AT LEAST 1 serving of fruits or veggies with EVERY meal, including snacks.

I've only got about 3 weeks left & am SUPER healthy still, no complications, no cravings & didn't get any sickness (my profile pic is from just 2 weeks ago... I'm the one on the left  )
