    Check this thread...
    http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1102508-mfp-fitspiration

Quotes from mfp-ers with their pics.

    It rolled.
    Part 2 is here :

    You may need kleenex

Motivational quotes really don't inspire me - they feel cheesy and/or completely irrelevant to me (which is probably why self-esteem affirmations don't work on me) BUT. These threads were awesome. The quotes in there brought tears to my eyes. Maybe it was about it feeling real.

"How do you eat an elephant? ~ One Bite At a Time!"

This has helped me get through many different types of goals / tasks / etc especially when the load ahead looks enormous

"When you have one of those days where the weight of the world is on your shoulders - do squats" is always a winner when I've had a rubbish day and I'm thinking I can't be bothered going to the gym

Also when I am flagging and wanting to quit - "your body won't goes where your mind doesn't push it"

If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.

Inspiring & very true, when it comes to weight loss.

There's one at my gym that I like, "Effort is your choice". It's so very true in all aspects of life, not just exercise. I do get a bit fed up with my Facebook newsfeed getting stuffed with cheesy motivational posters though, there have been a lot lately!
  • I love quotes! (:

Saw this one on a lunch menu that was promoting exercise:

"An hour of exercise is only 4% of your day!"

Okay, that's a really good one. Think I'll go ahead and start following this thread lol.
  • Quotes can be inspiring.

Free tip- when I'm really really really lacking motivation- I watch an action movie where a fit girl kicks *kitten*, ie Alien, Underworld, Anything with Michelle Rodrigues. It makes you want to work out hard. Works every time

    Sucker-punch.

You can change your mind with rhymes. "Rhymes can convince the mind of what the ear already knows."

If the jeans still fit - you must acquit.

Shakespeare's rhymes were convincing reality in all forms. Motivational quotes and perfect rhymes are sugar to the ear and slant rhymes are salt. Your ear knows but your mind needs a reminder. They have a profound effect on a child and they work for adults, too. You can change your mind with a rhyme or a motivational quote.

Food is my life but exercise is my hobby. I made that up but it may already be out there.

The Game/Fitness is 90% mental. The other half is physical. Yogi Berra

Don't dwell in the past. If you do, history repeats itself.

Without trust, your game goes bust.

Think too long, you'll think wrong.
    Overthink and you stink.

One's I use with clients and any who just need to hear it:

"Procrastination is the Assassination of Motivation"

"The extra mile slopes upward to the top"

"Success, only comes before work in the dictionary"

    "Perspire to inspire"

I have lots more, but those are the ones I use the most

There are couple things that motivate me. One of them is a verse from a song and it goes like this. On this day, I see clearly, everything has come to life. A bitter place and, a broken dream. I’ll leave it all behind. On this day it’s so real to me, everything has come to life. Another chance to chase a dream, Another chance to feel alive!
