After weight loss what you did?

Hello,

After losing the weight you wanted, what you did that you never dream with that possibility?

The people treat you differently?

What did you feel when you buy clothes and everything fits on you?

Thank you

  • I'm not quite at my goal but after losing 20+lbs I recently started going swimming again which I put off before because of my weight.

I haven't bought any new clothes yet as all mine still fit but It's nice knowing that I won't have to worry about if they will be too small for me the next time I put them on, and if they are too big then I will be happy :)

Good question. I am not at goal yet, but at little milestones, I did different things. I started kickboxing after I lost about 50lbs (at about 250lbs). I was unsure if I had the fitness level to keep up with the classes before that. I really should've gone earlier, as there are always ways to modify exercises for your own personal fitness level, so I was missing out. There was a lot of things I could've done earlier in my 'journey' that I should've, like weight training. But live and learn, right? I don't buy new clothes unless I have to for work clothes or maybe fitness gear because they get too big.

My clothing has definitely changed-I used to wear a lot of black and dark colors and now light colors are creeping in. I'm also a lot more confident-I want to go dancing, go to events, and do stuff outside the house. And yeah, guys treat me differently-more willing to open doors, help at stores, and eyeball me (still not sure whether to be offended or not XD). And walking to things is way less a big deal nowadays, ha ha

A few things make me feel warm and fuzzy inside since I've lost weight :

    - walking into a clothing store, picking up a shirt that's 2 sizes smaller, putting it on and yelling "IT FITS, IT FITS!"
    - not having to jump/laydownandbutton/pour/waddle into my jeans
    - feeling light
    - wearing tanktops in public!
    - not hiding behind "the other person" in a photo
    - waking up and things have just shrank over night!

... i could think of more, I'm sure.

    Left the house!!!

I had become a complete recluse and avoided anything and anyone other than going to work.

Most importantly I go out with my husband rather than ordering take away and staying in depressed, but he's like a stick and never puts weight on.

It has given me a whole new lease of life and for once In 20 years i enjoy clothes shopping :0)
