How many calories do you think you usually eat when you go off track and binge?

I have actually tracked my calories the last few times I binged...
One day it was 5,355 calories total. The other day was 4,310 calories. I felt like tracking it made me feel more accountable and I am hoping it will be a start of the process to eliminate binge eating.
In the past I have had worse binges that I am sure resulted in higher calories counts, but never tracked it.0 -
I have only had "very small" binges this week and I tracked most of the time. This is not even 50% of what I would normally binge on.And I could be missing stuff as well. This is with zero exercise
The amounts this past week were: 3330, 4488, 2121 (no binging day with this total). I have only logged the past 5 days or so and missed writing about half the day on two of them.0 -
ya for me its a couple thousand, not even including the rest of the day0
-
I am about the same! A few thousand :-( I really didnt think it was possible to eat that many calories but I guess it is!!0
-
binge days can hit anywhere from 3,000 to 7,000 calories for me0
-
My binging can also be thousands and thousands depending on how I'm feeling.0
-
Mines... around 5,0000
-
I log even when I go nuts and way over.
The biggest ever was 7200 over my calories, I was bulking at 2400 back then lol
Was delicious in a disgusting way! :laugh:0 -
At least 50000
-
I eat what I want when I want. So there's no binging.0
-
Maybe a couple of thousand I guess0

Back in the day....I can't even begin to tell you. The highest binge for the last 6 months was around 3,000 for the whole day give or take a few.....and I average around 1900 most days anyway so this has come a really long way since fast food and dessert binges of the past which I would guess would be in the 5000+ range.0
-
I'd say for me, that eating about 1000-2000 calories over maintenance would count as a binge for me...so 3500-4500 calories. I do track it to see how it affects my overall losses or gains.0
-
When I binge, I think I have extra 1000-1500 plus in the evening..It does happen to all of us I think.0
-
This would be a great thred for all those poor girls (well, mostly girls) who think eating an extra piece of cake constitutes a binge. :noway: :frown:
I actually don't think I have binged since using MFP, and if I did it was while I was at a buffet or while living without internet at home to track it properly.0 -
I eat what I want when I want. So there's no binging.
Surely you have days with intense cravings when you eat a LOT more than 'normal', no? I think that would constitute a binge.0 -
I had no binge from the begining- 9 months, till last month, I lost 44kg in this time, thats about 100 lbs I think...I think my body get tired and fights0
-
I usually binge around 6000 depends on how much money I have0
-
Not sure...how much is a box of Chips Ahoy?0
-
Knock on wood, I haven't binged since I got serious about my weight loss. In the old days, I know I could easily knock back 6000-8000 calories on a bad day. The worst part is during a binge I ate so mindlessly I didn't even taste the food.0
-
OH MY! waaaayyyyy too many! Whats worse, sometimes i eat a bunch of things i dont even want to try to find what im really craving! this mostly happens on weekend that i dont have errands to run or things to do...uuugghhh0
-
I've managed to scarf down a whopping 5,000 before... pizza, wings, ice cream, potato chips... yep, it happens.0

Nope. Because I don't deprive myself. If I want beers, I drink beers. If I want a piece of cake, I eat cake. I don't restrict myself or say that I can't have any food. For me, this alleviates any desire to binge. When you allow yourself to eat what you want and do so in moderation it's a win-win. I eat 1800 about 1800 calories a day. I may go a little over every so often, but that's fine with me.
Today I had a big slice of greek pizza because I wanted it. I also had a grande salted caramel mocha frappacino. I'm still losing weight. Not because I have some crazy awesome metabolism, but because I allow myself to eat what I want and I work hard to lose the weight.
I believe it's about moderation not deprivation.0 -
I typically track on my binge days too.. I have gotten as high as 2300.. but i'm typically trying to stay between 1200-1400 calories a day.0
-
I tracked everything I ate and was disgusted with myself. I had eaten very close to 8000 calories in one day...I work at a convenient store that sells donuts, flips, pizza, sandwhiches, and cheesecake....I think I had two or more of everything that day. crazy insanity that day :sad:0
-
I can easily top 8000 calories on a binge day.
Easily.0 -
As a male, at my heaviest, let's just say there are more than a few times where I was confident (100% so) that this Chinese buffet lost money on me.
100% confident.0 -
If I binge apart from my normal eating for the day then i would be 2,000 cals over (since using MFP i am normally eating around 1,600).. but if I decide my whole day to be a total binge then I am anywhere in the range of 5,000- 9,000 cals :noway:0

When I began recovering from anorexia, it sort of morphed into BED for a while...so I would eat anywhere between 2000-8000 calories in about an hour almost every night. I believe I gained 10 pounds in a little over a week, and they weren't just water weight! Glad those days are behind me0
-
Never tracked a binge but I bet close to 8000 or so0
