Acorn squash recipe, please...

Hi, I have an acorn squash in my fridge, I need to use before it goes bad. I was thinking of baking it & turning it into some kind of sauce to put over pasta (open for other suggestions tho) I'm not sure I want this sweet but unsure what else I can do with this. Any ideas would be appreciated. I do eat meat & cook a lot, so my kitchen is well stocked. I need this to be able to freeze. I do not care for the taste of eggs or Mrs Dash. Pretty much open to anything else tho. Thanks in advance :)
