How many do you get? We are lucky if we get more than 10. Its so much fun seeing the little people in their costumes so every year is kind of sad.

I get a ton, I usually stop when I run out of candy, or when the teenagers start coming out. If you're old enough to get a job and buy your own candy, do not knock on my door.

Its kind of dissapointing where I live....We live up a long hill in a coldesac, so I'm guessing a lot of people pass by on the way to the next street.

first halloween here but id be surprised if we got any especially since it would mean they have to unlatch our gate and walk all the way up the property

our street isn't a good street for trick or treaters (dark, no sidewalk, houses too spread out, too many cars)... so we don't get any kids here.

The upshot though, is we can take our kids out as a family, without any guilt about not handing out candies at home.

our neighborhood is kinda out of the way and not many kids live in it anymore either...not many...I'm debating whether I should actually even bother buying candy this year.

My house does not participate in the holiday however; just by my own observations, there are probably 100 that come around the neighborhood.

We don't celebrate it, though in the UK its not such a thing! C:

We usually get a ton because we go all out with the haunted grave-yard theme--complete with fog machine and sound effects. Almost always run out of candy and have make an emergency refill trip.

Our neighborhood does a Halloween parade--they get a fire truck to come over & all the kids line up behind it & go through the neighborhood. At the end, there are cookies & cider & then the trick or treating starts. We are on the parade route & get a couple hundred kids. I have 3 kids going out this year--my daughter is too old. This is my oldest son's last year. The city regulations say 12 & under for trick or treaters. I generally put a big bin of candy out because I'm walking around with my own kids. I thought my daughter would be able to hand out candy this year, but she has a football game (marching band).

I get about 20. I love to see the younger kids all dressed up and excited about it. I bring the dog out if the teenagers, who have made no effort at all, come knocking.

I already have the treats all bagged up and sitting by the door :)

We get maybe 15 little kids in costumes. We've started buying full sized candy bars for the kids because so few houses hand out candy in our neighborhood. Then we get crappy or tiny candy for the teens and the kids who do not dress up. For some of the weirder protestants here Halloween is somehow against their religion but begging for candy from strangers once a year isn't. :grumble:

None. I live way out in the country and there are no close neighbors. I'm going to go to church tomorrow night to give out candy there anyway. I love looking at all the kids in their costumes.

None. I live in a college town, right downtown. Unless drunk college kids come knocking...that's possible.

At my former homes, I had at least 100 trick or treaters! But now, there may be 20-30 at my duplex which is in a neighborhood of mostly older people (senior citizens), I think being in our 30's my husband and I are among the very youngest people hehe.

I will probably be a Scrooge and keep my porch light off. Thursday night is my night to clean house & catch up on YouTube videos ;-)
