Hey everybody. I kind of fell of the myfitnesspal.com wagon for the past two weeks...and look what it has gotten me...up 4 of the 6 lbs i had lost. I was doing so well, and then got sidetracked for a week, and have spent this last week nursing myself back to health as a result of the week before. I have not used my treadmill at all, and this past week, all I have done is eat, whatever I wanted, and way way too much of it to boot. And look where it has gotten me.....
. I hate this...BUT I am feeling better, and this morning I woke up and made the decision that TODAY was the day I got back on track...AND I started it off by getting on the treadmill. Please, I could use all the understanding, support and encouragement that I can get. I KNOW I can do this!! I KNOW I can do this for the longterm!! I am so disappointed, because I had hit my short term goal for the month, and now, doesnt look like it will happen. Now, on top of everything else, my finances are such that I dont know if I will be able to shop healthy like I need to. It may be to where I have to buy what is cheap and what I can afford, and just try my best not to eat too much of it, and exercise it away.... One day at a time, right?

You can completely do this! Everyone falls off once in a while, but making the decision to start again is what counts!0

Well done for coming back! you have made a big step back in the right direction!!0

I agree. This happens to everyone. I would say put the past behind you and start new today. You do have to take it one day at a time and don't beat yourself up. Take that and let it motivate you to continue on and you will do great.0

I know the feeling girl....story of all our lives, right? Dont worry about the finances, you just have to be clever when shopping. Find the cheapest wheat bread, they sell walmart brand wheat noodles. Buy fresh produce etc....You know how it goes. I am able to feed each person in my house for about 100 a month each. (not bad compared to some families hehe) but I dont buy premade foods. I make it all pretty much from scratch. You can do this and persevere through this, we are all here for you!0

It is OK, when you fell off you landed on me! So get up, shake it off and get back on NOW...today, this moment......
I am wiping the pizza grease from my lips as I write this so am right there with you. I just threw out the left overs and called DH to bring me fruit and veggies.
Dang this journey is hard:grumble:0 -
You can do it! Buy yourself 4 carrots, 4 celery, 2 peppers (red/yellow/green/whatever), 1 onion (cheap, cheap, cheap), and a can of tomatoes and lentils. Chop everything up, dump it into a pot, cook until tender. Add some spices (curry, cumin based, or chili, taco based, or italian based) and then you have a yummy, very healthy, meal for a few days. You can either eat it stew like or blend everything together and make a yummy soup! (and the put a tbsp of light sour cream in to cut the heat if you made it spicy and away you go)!
Good healthy food is not expensive for the most part. You don't need anything fancy.0 -
Thanks you guys....Yall are the BEST and I will do this, because I have the greatest bunch of supporters and motivators there is!!0

I hear you loud and clear. We all do it. It's part of the process. I wonder how many pounds I have lost and gained through the years? Has to be a few hundred. Easily. I think I finally have licked the weight loss part, but now I have to be concerned with the nutrients and the "balance." Also, I want to start Pilates as I understand that is super for toning.
It is a "one day at a time" thing, for sure. And so are your finances. "One day at a time" works with almost everything.
Feel free to add me as a MFP friend. We're with you!0
