I'm about 6'2" and currently weigh about 205. I was eating 1800 - 2000 a day to drop but I'm eating about 2500 a day for maintenance now. It sounds like you're pretty close to the mark to me. Just roll with it for a few weeks and see how it goes. Adjust as necessary.0

Hello. In my 20's I could halfass guess at 2000 a day and lose 2-3lbs a week easy. At 38 not so much lol. I'm shooting for about 188 which would be 10% bodyfat for me. Ive been there about 10 years ago (before I got married of course). They have me at 1680 a day and I hate it. Not only do I hate it but I see results very slowly. But Ive been back in the gym pretty regular now so at least that aspect is going well. Instead of just focusing on chest and arms like when I was a kid, I do a lot of core stuff now since Ive had back problems.0

Hey, how are ya's. I've been on here a while but have no friends to share my experiences with!
I'm Kaya, I'm 18y.o. 5"7 and currently (FINALLY) weighing my goal weight, 55Kg, but am staying on here to make sure i maintain that, it's always good to have support. I'm TRYING to increase my calorie intake to 1,200 per day but i'm a very active person, who's not often hungry
Feel free to add me!0 -

Yea that is very close and then I eat back my workout calories. If I divided up my workout calories for the week it would add around 150 per day.0 -
6ft, 209lbs, 43yrs. Right now I am at 1570 cals. I would like to loose maybe another 10lbs and then start lifting to get some shape back. I would imagine once I start working out I would need more calories.0

The 2000 is for cutting. Maintenance is 2500 but that's before exercise. I typically eat about 3500 calories a day when you add back in exercise calories.0 -
I'm 5'11" 250lbs, 24%BF, work out 3x a week...
Been losing slow and steady (1/2-1lb a week) on 2700 calories without eating exercise cals. Also when I was able to lift, my lifts were still going up when increasing food on lift days.0 -

If I ate anything over 1800, I would gain. Regardless of exercise.0

Netting 1600 calories but set at 1.5 lbs per week loss. I will reduce that to 1.0 lbs per week when I break 200 lbs so calories will go up a bit0 -
Calculate your TDEE, my maintenance is 2300 so I eat about 1800-1900 per day and I'm 6ft /190lbs0

I am pretty close to this too....... Im 5'10 and 200 now (fluctuate between 197-202). I was also eating 1950 to lose but now my maint cals are 2600-3000.0 -
I'm 5'9", currently 206lbs. I'm a ride down from 255lbs early this year, heading to 165. About a month ago I started running. (was walking 2-3 miles per day before that). I think when I started I was doing 1800 calories a day, but it seemed like I was plateauing a bit and I upped it to 2000 calories. Seem to be keeping it just over 2lbs loss a week at 2000 calories in and... Well, SOMEWHERE around 3 miles walking every other day and 3 miles running the days in between...
I seem to have become addicted to the running now and am about ready for my official 5K this weekend and am working on ramping up my distance and speed. Tough Mudder is on my schedule for July.0 -
5'9", 190lbs-ish (I prefer to look in the mirror to see the changes, rather than look at the scale so have not weighed myself in a while), 47.
Set for 1700cals for days I sit on my butt, but have averaged 1942 intake over the last 28 days, with a 2854 TDEE.
And the TDEE compared to intake is the biggie of what you are looking for. Some folks are trying to lose, some trying to maintain, some are trying to gain.0 -
I'm 33, approx. 15% body fat, 5'11" 216, lift 4 days a week and maintain about 3200 and cut at about 2700-2800. I'm not a big stickler on the actual number i eat every day, but I know it's got to be around 3200 or less to recomp/lose fat.0

I am 41 and 6'2". MFP has me eating 1560 cals/ day for a 2 lb/week loss or deficit. I also do 30 minutes cardio (jogging and elliptical) every morning.
I concentrate on hitting my macros (protein, fats, and carbs). I also make sure my micros are met or pretty close to it (potassium, fiber, vit A, vit C, calcium, iron). To do this, you have to eat a mixture of healthy foods at every meal (protein, carb, whole grains, fruit and vegatables).
If you have your MFP settings and goals correct and you follow what calories and nutrients MFP has you tracking, then you should be OK. Make sure you measure your portion size to match the correct serving size for all your ingredients then record it.0 -
