Calculating my burnt calories?

If I go for an hours walk and I'm pushing a buggy do I have 2 sets of calories burnt to log or do I just log the walk, as I see there is an option that says pushing pushchair. I hope this makes sense and someone can help. I just want a good idea of what I'm burning

Hi
I use a Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) for my physical activities. Chest strap version works better for me.
This helps with calories burned for any activity, any machine, any mixed of the two.
I found out the calories burned are more impacted by intensity than time.
Good luck in your journey0 -
I'm not sure what a pushchair is, unless it's an unpowered wheelchair, in which case I would think the calorie estimate in the database would assume it contains an adult human, and therefore probably weighs a lot more than a buggy (=baby buggy, pram, baby carriage, right?) If you're going to go by the database (which I do, so I'm not arguing you have to get an HRM), I think you'd be better off just entering the walking value. There is a walking carrying baby entry, but obviously the wheels on the buggy reduce the amount of energy you would expend, compared to carrying the baby.0

I wouldn't worry about the buggy unless it's heavy. You can calculate the walking part with this:
net calories burned = 0.3 * body weight in pounds * miles walked0 -
I personnaly calculate the walking without the stroller. I figure if I burn a bit more cals pushing the stroller, they are just extras that will help with my weight loss.0

There is just an option in the exercise list that says pushing or pulling a stroller with child (a stroller in the uk is called a pushchair) so I wasn't sure weather it classed as extra calories burnt. It was just curious as to what I might actually be burning but not curious enough to buy a heart rate monitor. Thanks for your replys0

I thought this formula was flawed? As in pace, fitness levels etc..0
