Mobile phone advice

Ok so my little samsung is on its way out.

I have been looking at a new mobile phone, checking out the internet, for comparisons and prices

I am getting so confused with it all :explode:

I am hoping you can all give me some advice...let me tell you what I want.

First of all...not touch screen..I like a keypad (not even a touch screen keypad)

Camera does not matter.

Bluetooth...MEGA IMPORTANT

Apps..no interest.

Usually I have bought Samsung, but the sound on answering is always a bit iffy

Price is important...has to be pay as you go and in the UK. I can not afford anything to expensive.

Phones I have looked at are Nokia 206, Samsung E2350 and splashing out on the money a Blackberry curve.

HEEELLLLPPPP

I am feeling a bit underwhelmed by the replies. I really thought that a lot of you would have a mobile phone :noway:

Probably because most people go for touch these days (I believe). It's best to go to a store that sells them and ask for their advice. :)

I've just got the new Iphone 5S and I love it, its a touch screen though and caters for my love of taking pictures and messing about with apps...

    Perhaps a Blackberry?

I haven't had a mobile phone for a couple of years. I do have a mobile device that has a phone in it and skype and gmail and social networks and on and on. I think most people have something a little newer. As far as old people go ( like me ) On my S3 I have nova Launcher and customized icons on a beautiful live hexagon wallpaper with neon battery and clock widgets. It also has custom text for labeling folders and such to match the modernistic tech design.

Very few phones have physical keyboards anymore, so good luck. A Blackberry phone, perhaps? But honestly, touch screens are really easy to get used to.

I think pretty much BB are the only thing left with a physical keyboard, but they are still touch screen too (Q10) .. you can get an old BB Curve or bold pretty cheap on ebay ~100 or less.. or some of the androids , droid, droid 2, htc shift,

I would check out gsmarena.com and sort by spec and features to give you a good listing of what might hit the mark

First of all...not touch screen..I like a keypad (not even a touch screen keypad) - Are you in a senior house, cause tought only 65+ people would still buy these

Camera does not matter - Sure it does, you need to campture your progress for your MFP FL

Bluetooth...MEGA IMPORTANT - Call the tooth fairy, cause we have a blue tooth! Just go for wifi or 3G/4G best way to share your info

Apps..no interest. - I guess you meant apples, cause who doesn't need the MFP app to track everything everywhere...

Price is important...has to be pay as you go and in the UK. I can not afford anything to expensive. - This i can understand

I never looked into no touchscreen phones last 4 years so my advice is to google the phones and look for reviews

    HEEELLLLPPPP - Your welcome

    Wow, nice attitude... :noway:

TYou gave it 13 minutes. Chill.

Go test out the phones in a store and see what you like.
You're probably gonna have to get a touch screen unless you're not looking for a smart phone as a lot of them are touchscreens.

Blackberries blow so don't get one.
The keys are incredibly tiny and I have small fingers but found using one difficult.

My daughter has one and so does my SO.

I just got a new phone two months ago and there were several in the store that fit the OP's needs. He just needs one of the simple phones that aren't smart phones. They're still around and plenty of people still want them.

Well mine is a touchscreen (Samsung galaxy S2) through virgin mobile. But they have other style of phones that might suit your needs. And the plans are good. They do use Sprint network though so if sprint is good in area then it should work great, if not you might want some thing else. Net10 uses 4 wireless towers and usually will work any where. Good luck in finding what your looking for!

There's a decent company called Giff Gaff in the UK (I use it), they have great pay as you go deals.

I pay £12 per month and get unlimited data (internet)
    Unlimited texts
    250 mins talk time.

Much more cost effective than signing up to a 12-18 month sentence
