How often do you jump on the Scale?

I do it every single day. If I don't, I end up half-assing my day. I do it so that I stay accountable. To each their own!0

I'm on its at least daily... Every morning after I use the bathroom but before I get dressed... I only use my mondays weight though... I know I can gain weight over night just from water weight... which I did last week... I went up last week 2lbs and it was water weight...0

I do it daily and depending how hard I workout I may do it a couple times a day. I know it's sad. Stupid scale...:ohwell:0

My name is Dawn and I'm addicted to my scale. It is truly a love hate relationship. I have found myself stepping on this beast of burden several times a day. I know it is unhealthy to do this and its even suggested that you skip days between jumping on ..... but I'm addicted.
So I'm wondering when do you jump on the bathroom beast?
I weigh daily.
It's not "unhealthy" to weigh yourself multiple times daily (unless it's affecting other aspects of your life adversely).
It is unhealthy to obsess over the natural fluctuations that will occur.0 -
Twice a week just to see how things are going midweek x0

Every single morning after going to the bathroom. I only record when it goes down - as long as I know I'm losing.
Exactly!! Sometimes I see it went up one morning, but then the next morning it will be back down. So I don't get upset that it went up a drop - but don't record it either!0 -
I too am addicted to scales. I don't think it's an unhealthy addiction, I like to see them going down, always jump on every morning naked after or before shower. Then sometime again at night. It's amazing the fluctuations.. But I don't let the scales bother me. It's great to see 70 something instead of 90 something kilos.....0

Every morning, wearing the same thing. (Or in this case.. NOT wearing the same thing, I do with nothing...)
That way I can see if I'm still on the right path or not. I still do light workouts, still seeing results.0 -
It used to be once a month until I bought my own scale. Now I jump on every morning.0

I weigh in once a week, Saturday morning before I have any coffee or breakfast. If you weigh all the time you will fluctuate due to water weight and it will drive you nuts!0 -
Daily, and like some other folks said I use trendweight.com to stay sane about it. Seeing the daily fluctuations is useful for me but may not be for everyone. I would say if you are weighing daily make sure to follow the trends and averages not the daily number.0

I weigh myself every morning. I wake, use the restroom, run my bathwater and hop on the scale.
I wish I had a bath tub and could take a bath in the morning..../jealous
I usually hop on everyday, sigh, hop off and keep going.
Although I like the weekly average idea that has popped up in this thread. I had never thought of that!0 -
Every Thursday morning. I skip my weigh in's during the week of TOM though0

Maybe once a month. It's not that important to me.0

Most days, but not every day.
Then I plot it in excel and generate fun trend lines and statistics instead of paying attention to the daily variations.0 -
Every 2 weeks Saturday morning.0

daily - I have ISSUES :ohwell:0

yeah, i'm a graph and chart freak...0 -
I don't jump on it. Jumping on it may cause it break or become uncalibrated (if this is a word, I don't know...)
I weigh myself every 2 weeks. It gives me time to see a good difference without obsessing.0 -
Every Monday for me.0

I don't own a bathroom scale, I go weigh in at Boots Pharmacy once a month (or thereabouts it breaks ... a lot...:grumble: ) works for me0

Every morning and occasionally before bed.
Saturday is my official day. I don't get excited about gains or losses until Saturday. I can tell I'm losing weight by other factors. I've gone down about two sizes, my face is thinner, and my clothes hang differently. The scale at this point is just a number. Still, it's just habit at this point to weigh every day.0 -
Pretty much every morning before I shower. I kept thinking to myself that I'd stop and only get on once a week, but it's just nice to see how the week is progressing. I only record a loss, and only 1 pound at a time, and only after I've seen the loss for 3-5 days in a row. It's not scientific at all, but then again I also don't weigh my food or measure my heart rate for accurate readings, I just live in a world of guesses and I'll keep doing it until it no longer works.0

every time I use the bathroom, twice! I don't even know why I do it, it's like an addiction..0

I can only weigh myself once a week-- I get certain amounts of anxiety from stepping on the scale and normal weight fluctuations really depress me so I do it every Sunday.0

I weigh once per week on Thursday nights before dinner. I have body fat scales so I want the exact same conditions each weigh in. I figure once per week is enough and builds up a little bit of excitement to see the numbers (weight, hydration level, body fat %). After that, I do my measurements and put them all in a spreadsheet. I update my weight then in MyFitnessPal on sometimes my measurements. I only update if 1/2" change0

I know the ideal is once a week.
Here in the real world... not to be gross, but pretty much I step on it every time I poop before I eat breakfast. (So, like 3-4 times a week.) I figure that way I'm getting the lowest weight possible, and I can't make excuses about being heavier because of stuff in my digestive system. I only track it if it's changed by more than a couple ounces.0 -
I don't keep a scale at home to avoid the exact situation you describe. I know it'll taunt me from the bathroom and I'll obsess. I use the scale at my gym about once a week, but I don't weigh on any particular schedule. When I feel like I may have dropped a little weight, I see if I'm right. Only being able to weigh in at the gym also means....I have to get my *kitten* in the gym! LOL0
