I highly reccomend having a look at http://www.reddit.com/r/slowcooking!
The great thing about slowcooking is, you don't really need a recipe. Just dump in a bunch of vegetables, a big piece of meat and some broth/seasonings. Let it cook for a a couple of hours (usually like 6-8 hours on low/med - look it up) and have a delicious dinner ready when you get home from work/school etc.
Still, there are so many more things than stews etc. you can do with it so check out the link0 -

I've had 2 great dinners from my crock pot this week!
Yesterday morning I threw in some ground chicken, a can of tomatoe sauce and a can of mushrooms for spaghetti sauce! The worst thing was the sodium levels in the tomato sauce.
The other day I threw in some frozen chicken breast (your meat does not have to be thawed out before hand) and a can of green mexican chile salsa and a little bit of water! When I got home, I cooked some rice and steamed broccoli!
BAM! Super easy! Dinner is ready when I get home from the gym and my 2 year old from daycare! Crock pots are a mom's best friend (along with my george foreman grill) :bigsmile:0 -
