Anyone else feeling this way? I suppose I could do something constructive, but that seems like too much effort at the moment. Any suggestions on something to do when it's cold and rainy in London?

Museums! Art galleries! You'd be warm and dry as well as getting a bit of extra exercise while you're wandering around. They're mostly free as well!

I love London! I would find an umbrella, bundle up in my coat, and head to the British Museum, the Tate Gallery, and other museums, then stop for something hot in a pub with a fireplace.

Tired of London = tired of life they used to say. How about a walk along Regent canal in the rain!

All great suggestions! If only I weren't so lazy  (and cold). I guess it's drinking coffee on my couch and watching Netflix under 5 blankets
  • This is what I would do if I was in London

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invader_(artist)

Go search for these fellas, found all the remaining space invader art in Manchester, took photos and it was a massive walk and great fun.

    I am a nerd though

You should really consider going Geocaching in London.

I guess I should be thankful that I can. Although I should be doing something productive (like looking for a job!).

I had to look that up on Google. Actually looks like a lot of fun (and something to do with the family on weekends). I will check that out. Thanks for the idea.

Tavistock, I am disappointed in you.

My other half hates London too, but I love it! I even enjoy the commute into work!

Isn't that just shoplifting if it's in an urban environment?

I love playing tourist in London. Pick an area you don't know and have a walk. If the weather is crap travel upstairs on the bus. I checked out Peckham yesterday, which turned out to have lovely pockets.

I try to do that with the fam on the weekends. My trouble is during the week when they are at work/school and I have only a few hours in the middle of the day to kill so I have to stay somewhat local to my area of London (which isn't very exciting).

buy a supersaver train ticket & go on a long train ride; I did it a while back, went to Edinburgh & didn't even leave the station!

read a magazine, a bit of book, look out the window, talk to a few people, drink a beer,

    great fun
