    Wonderful story, congratulations and great job on your accomplishment!!

    I lost my mother and my grandmother (her mother) to complications due to diabetes, it was one of the things that finally motivated me to do something about myself (for real this time). I've been criticizing myself lately for not doing enough, not losing fast enough, not looking good enough, etc., and your story just brought me back to reality. I didn't start this thing as a beauty contest - the goal was never to be "skinny," and that's still not the goal now. My goal is to be healthy, set a good example for my little girl, and live as long a high-quality life as possible.

    So THANK YOU for sharing this, it was just what I needed this morning. :)

    Great job! I live in Oregon too, and it is the BEST place for hiking, being outside, etc. Exercise is so much fun when you do it outside (I think)!
