Looking for lean protein options

While reviewing my diary I noticed I have more carbs than anything followed by fat and very little protein. I really want to try and increase the amount of protein in my diet but am having a hard time coming up with food that is lean with a lot of protein, especially snack ideas. Please keep in mind that I am striving for an organic non gmo lifestyle so I don't eat much dairy since its so expensive for me, and I like to stay away from lunch meat. The only thing that comes to mind is eggs! I'm stumped, can anyone thing of other lean protien, preferably for snacks? Thanks

There is very little in the way of lean protein that is not either meat or dairy.
Protein bars, but for someone striving for an organic non GMO lifestyle thats, probably not gonna fly (tends to come with a fear of labels with lots of chemicals). Plus they are $$$.0 -
Lean meat; egg whites; low fat dairy; soy; beans, lentils, and similar; or protein supplement.0
