I have lost 97 pounds in 22 months, hopefully hit 100 pounds before my 2 year mark.
How I did it:
1. Weight lifting~(I started this about 10 months ago and so glad I did) 5 days a week.
2. Walking~5-6 days week, 5 miles each day.
3. Having a rest day.
4. Eating between 1600-2000 calories (doing the TDEE method)0 -
Lost 90lbs in 20 months.... Fingers crossed for 100lbs at the 2 year mark0

I lost my first 100 pounds 2 years ago. I went from 347 to 247, but now have put on 13 pounds from there, and I want to push my body further and get to my goal weight of 200 pounds. I lost the weight by a restricted diet and running every day. I lost a lot of muscle mass and it wasn't the most balanced of diets. It took me awhile to find a diet that could give me both a healthy and constant weight loss and muscle and endurance growth.0

I'd say it took me about a year to lose the first 100, a another year to lose the next 50. It always goes fastest at the beginning.0

took me almost a year to reach 100lbs loss. and then another year to lose 50 more..
the higher your weight the easier it comes off.
i started at 327lbs.. it seemed quite simple and easy to drop the weight til about 200lbs.. then it got much harder and keeps getting harder to come off. but every body is different and you should start out with really small goals.. because looking at losing over 100lbs seems nearly impossible. it of course IS possible.. but you will want it to happen super fast and it doesnt healthily work that way.0 -
I've lost 103 lbs in 5 months. I always felt a sort of desperation when looking at peoples before and after pictures when they had lost 100+ lbs. Its sort of like watching porn to get a relationship. It doesn't work. I would build it up in my mind- like THIS IS IT. But change is most effective when it starts as a whisper, and you integrate it into your daily life, don't build it up to be a mountain in your mind, and just do. I rarely create anything with just thinking about it unfortunately, I have to MOVE to do it.0

WOW!, congratulations to everyone on here and thank you for sharing. I do not have 100lbs to lose but sometimes it feels like I do until I come on MFP.0

I lost 100 pounds (some pre-MFP) in roughly 6-7 months. I did not do anything special really, just ate less, watched what I ate, tracked it, and exercised. I did not deny myself anything as such, just had it in moderation instead. I still have about 15-20 more to go.0

It took me about two years to lose around 120lbs. I then maintained that loss for 5 years. Recently had a baby and am in the process of losing my pregnancy weight - I'm lifting heavy this time and I'm changing my body into how I want it so am less obsessed with the scale and more with the mirror! Lol0

I started my weight loss journey in January 2013 at 385 lbs. I found MFP in May at 352.2 lbs. I really count that as my starting weight. On November 16th 2013 I hit 252.2 lbs. It was just shy of 6 months to reach that first 100 lbs lost. It felt absolutely amazing!! Now im down another 26lbs and im counting down to Onderland!! I really wanted to reach 199 by my 28th birthday next month but I don't know if thats possible.0
