Don't give up

I'm mainly posting this to give people a good laugh. I stumbled across this photo. I took it during my first week or two of running... I say running but what I mean is running for two minutes, stopping, wheezing, hyperventilating, complaining.... then running for another two minutes and repeating the cycle.
This particular night after attempting run round my local racecourse, I got to the car park and decided to sprint the last bit to our car. I tripped in a spectacular fashion over a speed bump. The result was two bloody knees and grazed hands. I look like a little girl in the photo.

When I first started telling people I was going to start running a lot of people had a good laugh. I got a lot of comments about how they imagine me running like phoebe from friends ( you know the episode where she goes running with rachel). I got tagged in lots of e cards by one friend saying things like 'Sometimes I need a good slap in the face, other times I hold my boobs when I run' or ' I tried to go jogging once but my boobs knocked me the f**k out' or even ' while I was running today I heard someone clapping, it was just my thighs cheering me on'

Even I could see the funny side of it. I like to look at that photo and have a laugh.

The photo was taken nearly 6 months ago, nobody laughs anymore. People take me a bit more seriously now. Annoying that there's some people who only respect me now I'm thinner.
But if you can relate to any of this. Don't give up. Because soon enough you'll be able to say those glorious words 'who's laughing now?'

I just pulled up your photos...you look amazing!! Congrats on not giving up!!
  • Sheridan is right. You do look amazing. My favorite picture is the one with both your arms down your pants (that sounds completely wrong). You know what I mean! It gives a good comparison of then and now. Fantastic job!

That's right. No matter what comes your way. Don't give up. Don't quit. You can continue too do it. The willpower is you.
