What are you eating ? an open / public diary might help.0

If you just started this routine last week, it could be water retention for muscle repair. Also, opening your diary might help others get a clear picture of your daily intake and be able to give you better answers. Also height and age?0

How are you measuring your food?
Are you weighing your food? Using measuring cups? Guessing?
If you are not using a food scale, you could be eating more than you think.
Also, your latest weight increased because of the exercise. You're retaining water for muscle repair. It will go away, you just have to be patient.
And lastly, how long have you been "stuck"? Has it been a week? 2? More? Don't freak out too much unless it's been 4+ weeks.
But really, make sure you're in a deficit. Log as accurately as possible consistently, everyday. Weigh your food. Give it time.0 -
Updated my food diary...sry m new here as i said :P
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/sonuyos
well sometimes at night i might hav forgot to enter and update...but it is identical to days food
i hav literally stoped rice, potato and all those high cal & carb foods...
and i hav started drinkin 3l of water a day atleast... can c a bit of a muscle growth
and it is been 1week...in past 1 week i measured weight daily...but it was between 106.5 - 109.5 in early mornin to after meal weight!!>..
my diet consist of 2 meal each consistin of 3 Rotis & one Non veg for protien...like egg masala or chicken masala or fish curry each consistin 200-800 cal per dish divided into 2 parts for 2 meals...0 -
I just want to echo what others have said. keep in mind that trading fat weight for muscle weight is almost always a good thing. Keep plugging at it and you'll get there0

Don't give up! It's taken a while, but as of this morning I've lost 48 lbs.
For me, the key was adding lots more activity and watching portion sizes.
Try watching TV while on a treadmill or doing exercise instead of sitting on the sofa. Each little change can make a huge difference.
Best of luck!0 -
Well am just worried that my diet is so less and still my weight gt increased...at first i thought it is flactuation..but it is kinda stable at 107.5
should i stop excercisin or should i continue??0 -
Hey just had a look at your diary. Are you logging consistently cause there looks like lots of gaps?
Don't give up ) You will get over this hurdle.
Maybe change things up a bit with your diet, Good idea cutting out the starchy foods.
If you feel like you are eating much less perhaps maybe try eating maybe 6 small meals a day with lower calorie values in each meal. Then you can still eat throughout the day.
Drink a LOT of water. Green tea is great too
Try your best to weigh all of your food using a food scales and log everything that way you can accurately keep track of what's going in.
Good Luck ! x0 -

No i dont miss a single day...though maybe at night i miss an entry...but night entry is mostly identical to my afternoon meal entry...
and now i can control my hunger like hell....so 2 meal is fine fr me...but sometimes at night like 2-3 (i am up till 3-4 am due to work and maybe devlopin insomnia ) so that time i eat a minimal amt of food..0 -
Just glancing at your diary, I see it is still pretty heavy on carbs, roti and bread mostly. Just yesterday (Nov 15): 3 pieces of roti and 3 whole wheat slices for dinner. Heavier carbs like those are better suited for breakfast rather than dinner. Maybe try going a week without roti and bread? Maybe substitute with fruits (apples, banana, oranges) and nuts (raw walnuts, almonds). Also don't skip breakfast! That might be your biggest mistake, I only see one breakfast logged for this month.0

Well m from india and there is no stable substitute for roti except bread or pav...and roti is made off pure wheat here0

carbs aren't bad. Calorie deficit is all that's needed to lose weight. OP also doesn't "need" breakfast. You can split your calories throughout the day, however you want. That's an individual preference.
OP, don't skip anything you eat. Log everything. Weigh and measure everything. Don't guess. You'd be surprised how quickly those missed calories add up0 -
You should be eating at least your BMR. That's the amount your body needs to keep its basic functions going in a coma-like state.
With a maintenance of 2900 (at sedentary lifestyle) I would recommend 2400 a day + exercise calories, if you workout. This is therefore more than your BMR but less than maintenance, in order to keep a calorie deficit going (what you need to lose weight) On this amount you should lose approx 1lb a week.
It may sound odd but sometimes it's easier to lose weight on more calories, as you're giving your body the fuel it needs to get by and do the activity you do throughout the day. From personal experience I lost weight a lot easier on 1750 (+ exercise cals) than I did on 1500 (+exercise cals)
ETA: Try this out for a few weeks, adjust slightly if necessary after that. Make sure you log everything if you want to be accurate.0 -

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Just do an online search for "why breakfast is important" or "why skipping breakfast is bad." Just the first link that came up from a search result: http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/most-important-meal
And yes, carbs aren't bad. But high amounts of bread is not the best source of carbohydrates. There are better options. Maybe I should have conveyed that in my initial post better.Well m from india and there is no stable substitute for roti except bread or pav...and roti is made off pure wheat here
Ah, I understand. Hmm... what about replacing the bread & roti with daal (lentils)? Daal is a much better source of carbs, protein, and nutrients. Or rather than a drastic change maybe including more daal in your diet and less roti & bread. Just small changes, monitor and adjust.
Whatever you decide to do good luck! All the best!0 -
The diet here v cannot eat/drink only daal...and bread I eat only if there is no other option... well I m still concern abouy the weight. ..is it normal increase due to exercise or wat....and wat is water retention???..should I continue exercising??...my exercise is between low & medium lvl workout or maybe even less...but mainly focused on upper body..0
-
I think it is just water retention from starting a new exercise regime. I wouldn't change anything at the moment, if it has only been one week.0
-
So atm is my weight getting less or stagnated??0
