I Need Help… ):

So I've been trying for awhile to lose weight. I can't seem to stick with it though. I do want it really bad because I keep looking at pictures of myself last year and feel bad that I've gained so much weight. I want to weight 130 and I'm currently 161. I don't know what to do or where to start. I start off good, but then fall off the band wagon after a week. I don't know what to do. The stress from school isn't helping either. I need help with what i should eat and what exercise I should be doing to lose this 30 pounds. I don't want to give up but I'm tired of hating myself for being 161 pounds, and not liking what i see in the mirror. I want to love my body, and lose this weight to say "i did it" but I'm starting to think that isn't going to happen.. Please help.

What really helped me keep on track was to start small -- don't try to break every unhealthy habit overnight! For example, one of the first changes I made was to make sure that I always had some sort of vegetable with my lunches and dinners. Simple enough, right? Then when that became second nature, I made a commitment to always take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible. And so on and so forth. The little changes really add up (and the more "little changes" you make, the more you realise that the bigger changes aren't so unmanageable), and if you're looking to develop a healthy lifestyle (as opposed to get the weight off ASAP), I found it to be a very sustainable way of going about weight loss. All the best to you!0

Thank you! I have sort of started small. I did the same thing you did and I try to have a veggie with every meal. And I'm trying to eat out and cook more often. Thanks for that!0

It took me a while to get it into my head just how serious i needed to become in order to lose weight. It isnt about losing weight it's about changing your focus. I had to change the way i thought about my life and knowing how unhappy i was i had to take action. I had to put me first and i work hard at it. I have lost 13lbs so far but the transformation so far is astounding.
I got a personal trainer and she has helped me with exercise, food and mental agility. She has become my guru. I personally think you need a trainer to guide you through your transformation.
I keep a notebook. In the front i write down dates that i train and in the back i keep a diary of how i am feeling.
I gave up smoking and junk food. I gave up eating after 9pm (apart from Saturday nights). I train 6x a week now.
When i started i trained 2x a week and gave up pizza - u have to choose at least one thing u want to give up and stick with it when u start off.
Aim for decreasing inches not lbs because as u can see from the pictures below i have lost less than it looks.
I wish u the best of luck !
