NSV- Best Weight Loss Compliments?

Excellent to read, thanks for sharing.
My favorite two:
Jim, if you are not careful you're going to lose so much weight you'll fall through that hole in your sock
From a neighbor at a property I own, who I have only met a few times, and it's been over a year... Jim, I have to apologize, it took me awhile to figure out who you were because I had remembered you as a big man.0 -
There are some great ones here! Good for you all :flowerforyou:
From a relative at a family picnic-- "Whatever you're doing, you look fabulous. But you don't need to lose more!"
From a coworker--"Dang, you look great! Have you reached your goal yet?"
From my sister-- "Oh my gosh! Can I take a picture of your stomach and show it to people?"
From my husband-- "I'm so proud of you... you look amazing."0 -
The best unintentional compliment I've received lately is when my mom made me get on the scale at her house to prove that I am still over 200 lb. She seriously didn't believe me. That felt nice.0

My favorite was one I heard through the grape vine. I went to say hello to my best friends fiance at his work. After I had left one of his coworkers asked if that was me. He said he didn't even recognize me and I looked amazing! My best friend told me this later. Great to know that people are also complimenting me behind my back! LOL!
My other favorite is my husband hugging me and saying "wow, look at how much weight you have lost babe! Im so proud of your hard work"
And last is my coworker telling me that "You are shrinking! How are you doing it?"0 -
My fiance can throw me over his shoulder and carry me around with no problems now. It's great not hearing him grunt anymore, but he does it ALL the time now!
One of my coworkers when I started wearing short shorts (as opposed to basketball and bermuda shorts) - "Dang girl! Where'd you get those legs?!"
Another coworker - "Laura dear, you need to stop losing weight, you're getting too thin!"
My friend who I hadn't seen in a few months - "Holy f^&k, where'd the rest of you go?!"0 -
A friend (who I haven't seen in a year), exclaimed "Damn girl! You look so skinny! Where did you go!". I told her about MFP! Even better than my daughter saying "Mom, your belly is farther from the steering wheel", and my hubby saying "I can hug you better now", is the fact that my sister, two brother-in-laws, and a cousin-in-law have been inspired by my so-far success. They have all said "If she can do it with 4 kids, what excuse do I have?"0

The sock one is hilarious!0 -
"Whats your secret?"
"I can't even recognise you anymore"
Numerous comments about how I look great ect.. ect..
I hilariously got a double edged comment about looking so much prettier than "before" haha0 -
The best was when some students asked me if I used to be a model. I should have lost that 20 pounds a long time ago!0
-
"That was your son? The one who just got back from Africa? What did you do, have him when you were 9!"0

My only regret is that I didn't do this 10 years ago.0 -
"You've really lost weight." - From the instructor of a fitness class I take.0
-
"Never noticed how tall you are."0
-
I was told I was a great inspiration and a great motivator for others. Sure was good to hear after all the negative compliments.0
-
you look 20 years younger!0
-
This isn't really weight loss related but it made me teary none the less...
My friend posted this on my facebook this morning. She has two twin daughters that are about 3/4 years old.
"So my girls like to scroll thru facebook on my phone to look at pictures, and molly was scrolling and saw your profile pic and said 'oooh what's her name? She's sooo pretty'. Lol."0 -
After I turned down a holiday cup cake, my co-working told me I was wasting away. I just smiled and thought about MFP.0

I'm a preschool teacher and a parent i hadnt seen for a few months stopped in his tracks and went "Holy Crap! You're losing so much weight! Most of the time if someone looks smaller ill ask them "Hey are you losing some weight?... but with you.. well i don't even need to ask, you look fabulous." That made my entire week XD0
-
when my brother couldn't find me in the house he said your so thin I thought I missed you0
-
Overheard from a family member at a party recently....
"Have you seen Maureen? She's a bean pole!"0 -
These are all really great! The compliments are what keep me going sometimes.0
-
I love them! Thanks for sharing. I had one just this afternoon from a colleague I hardly ever see. She kept saying 'you look great' about 3 times until I finally clued in and said 'I've lost weight' and she said 'I could tell, but I don't know you enough to comment on your weight'. But sweet!0

Yesterday at work, an older lady came in and looked at me and said, "You are getting so skinny. You just look lovely. Your mom would have been so proud of what you have done." (Made me cry!)
From a friend's brother last week, "I didn't recognize you in that dress! Turn around...Look at those curves!" I never used to like being "curvy", until the curves were in the right places!
And my alltime favorite was from my brother who doesn't usually say much, We were at dinner and he wanted to make a toast. I rolled my eyes wondering what crazy thing he was going to say, and he surprised me! He said, "I'd like to toast Jen because she looks amazing! She has done something that most people can't do, and she is my hero." Again...that made me cry...and still does now!0 -
The receptionist at the building where I work called out "here comes skinny minnie" when I walked in the other morning. Apparently I've also inspired her to get more exercise, which is a better compliment in itself than the comment.
I also love the unspoken compliment my clothes are giving me. I'm going to have to start thinking about how to take some of them in soon.0 -
Also, I was cooking something the other day (a roast beef or something) and said to my husband "it's shrunk a bit" and he said "just like you".0
-
"Make sure you get some food... You are still eating right?" (She was serious...) and "you're shrinking, you're half of who you were!"0

I joined my gym in July and had a work-out session with a trainer named Ingrid. She worked me hard for about 45 minutes & suggested I attend her Zumba classes. I told her my strategy was to keep swimming for a few months until I was sick of it or I hit a plateau and then I would start taking some classes. Three weeks ago (after about 30 more pounds lost) I took her first Zumba class, and she didn't recognize me. After reminding her of our session & conversation she said, "That was you? Wow, you've lost a lot of weight!" That made me feel great! I'm glad I waited until I was in a little better shape before attempting Zumba. Now I can pretty much keep up with her class, plus it's super fun!0

I lost a big chunk of weight over the summer, and when I returned to school, these were some of the things my classmates said to me:
"Oh my gosh, you're so skinny! What's happening to you?"
"Are you disappearing?"
"Whoa! Look at this! We've got Brad Pitt over here." (That was one from a friend of mine who legitimately looks like Tim Tebow whereas I look nothing like Brad Pitt)
Finally, when I went to the airport to pick up my MIL a few weeks ago, she looked right at me, and then kept looking for me. She didn't say anything, but she certainly didn't recognize me.0 -
From employee: Have you been sick?
From family member: you look as skinny as a cigarette and what have you been useing? (then instantly downlaoded my fitnesspal and runtastic)0 -
My mom kept saying, "Just look at how little your *kitten* is, its got such a nice shape." :noway:
A friend told I wasn't someone's type since I don't have enough meat on my bones. *Cheers!* :drinker:0
