The video starts playing automatically for some reason but does anyone have any experience with one of these? I saw it at the store I work at and was curious. A gym membership is not an option for me so I was wondering how close this would come to strength training?

This is so stupid. You don't need a chair for this. Just buy one or two resistance bands and you can get just as good workout... and save 20$.0
-
I saw that on TV and couldn't stop laughing. It's a folding chair with some pulleys attached!0
-
Oh! It reminds me of the EasyXChair on Dragons Den a few years back. Had all the Dragons wetting themselves

"instead of struggling with heavy weights"
BAW HA HA HA HA HA
okay- I'll just not struggle at all- because what's the point of lifting if you aren't struggling at least A LITTLE bit.0 -
Wow. Earlier this year I was joking when I said I was going to produce a "Come Sit With Me" exercise video series to compete with those walking DVDs. I guess someone beat me to it.0

Resistance band = $6
Folding chair = $9
Chair Gym = $150
Sure. I'm a Registered Chair Gym Coach. I sell the supplements you have to use to get the best results. Message me for more info.0 -
Wow. I didn't say I loved it and wanted to marry it... was just seeing if it was worth investigating. Apparently not.0
-
marrying it would probably be more effective than buying it to use as an exercise tool0

Yeah if you're not struggling at least a little you're not doing it right.
OP if you've got $150 to spend there are a lot better investments you can make. If you just want strength training you can do at home google You Are Your Own Gym-- that won't cost you anything.0 -
Sitting and standing while exercising already jumped the shark. I recommend waiting until my "cot gym" comes out instead. You can make it yours for only 8 easy payments of $39.99.0

I just wanna take it to a kids soccer game sidelines and do that in front of other parents and see what happens. Because my life is too easy right now.

As above - for $150 you should be able to get a decent start on some proper weights.
Or some resistance bands and a chair you've already got .
Having got some bands to use when I'm away and my own weights setup when not; I'd definitely start the 'real weights' collection if you can.0 -
For maximal results, wear this while using it:

If it vibrates I'd say it's worth the money...0
