Help getting started!

Hi there,
I'm having a hard time getting started. There seems to be so much info, that I'm having a hard time sorting it all out.

I'm 5'7", 134 lbs. I don't have a lot to lose, maybe only 5-9 lbs. I really need to tone my belly and thighs (mother of two). I am able to commit 4-6 days per week excising depending on our hectic schedule. I'm fairly active, however, I am a student as well as a full time employee so I often am sitting reading textbooks or working on the computer. I enjoy pilates and Jillian Michaels Yoga. I also have a treadmill that I am using to do the couch to 5K program.

I am confused about how many calories I should be consuming per day.

I would like to reach my goal by January 13th (going on vacation), which is about 8 weeks from now. So I am thinking I would like to lose 1 lb per week.

Does anyone have any recommendations? How can I reach this goal?
